Question about HP LaserJet 1320 Printer
It won't print! i added a new cartridge and still nothing - I replaced a Q5949A print cartridge with a Q5949X (high volume - 6000p). i removed the tab and little plastic strip @side, but only after i accidentally asked it to print a test page :( i thought for about 2 minutes as to what was wrong, smacked myself on the forehead, and took the cartridge out and removed the strip. have i blocked/clogged some jet heads?
I had found my problem with this.. There is a little plastic "interlock" tab on the cartridge door of the printer. It's about 1/2" x 1/2" and is about 1-1/2" from the right edge of the door. When you close the door, this tab blocks the light sent from one side of the sensor to the other. The black sensor is about 1-1/2" to the left of the orange button and just under the top of the printer. Mine was just bent over (about to break off) so I just glued it back in place, and the printer works great...

1. check the cartridge on another printer to check if the cartridge is OK.
2. If cartridge is OK, print a test page on the printer. If the paper comes out properly, the mechanism turns properly, does it have any print out even a faint one.
Try these and keep posted.
