need to replace fuse in the power supply board. - 382ed81.jpg
The picture relates with your board. Your need to de-solder the heat sink cover to get access to its fuse. Open it carefully and replace the fuse.

good luck

How do I know if it is a board or power supply issue?

Without proper test equipment it is hit and miss. I can say that it is most likely the power supply. The only possible way you might be able to check is to unhook the other boards and try again. If it does blow out the fuse then it is the power board. BUT the unit might not power up at all if you unhook the other boards, especially the control board.

Samsung ft-p5084 plaza tv went blank. No power at all.

If that fuse is blown chances are its because the Power supply has developed a short. The power supply will need replacement. You can easially install a power supply yourself just a few screws and couple of wire sockets and the old board pops right out. You can get the power boards from www.tvcircuitboards.com

MY PS3 WONT TURN BACK ON

Hi,
Either power supply problem or blown surface mount fuse on the main board. First check all SMD fuses on the main board, and the fuse on the power supply board. If the power supply board fuse has blown replace it and try again, if it blows again you need to replace the power supply. If the power supply seems OK check all SMD fuses on the main board. There are 7 on the V3 and about a dozen on the V4 / V5 / V6.
Good luck...

Hi i changed colour cartridge tried trial run printer died; changed fuse in plug; still no power any suggestions please

in the printer there is a power supply board.there is a same type of 3amp fuse on the power supply board.if there is any kind of overheating in the power then the fuse in the plug and fuse on the power supply board blows out.in some cases only fuse on power supply board blows out.this fuse is placed on the board for safety reasons.because in the older model printers when this short circuit problem was happening at that time whole board used to blow out.so in the new model of printer a fuse is placed on the board ,so if any overheating or any power outage or any short circuit occurs.the fuse blows out instead of whole power supply board. You just need to replace the fuse on the power supply board by disassembling the printer.the power supply board is the green color square shaped board.its the board to which your power wire of printer is connected. the fuse is available at any local electric hardware shop.its not any special kind of fuse. This will help. Thanks please keep updated. please please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

Wont turn on. is there a fuse or something inside

The unit has fuses but you will probably not find any bad ones. I would check the power supply for problems. If you unhook all but the control board it should produce all it's voltages which are usually marked by the connectors. If voltages are good the problem is in one of the boards which are unhooked. It would need replaced. If the voltages are not there the power supply board needs replaced. Let me know how you make out.

Cannot locate the fuse in the liteon power supply

The fuse is internal, and soldered to the circuit board. It can be replaced by soldering - an old-timers trick is to get a new fuse (with pig-tails) and just solder in parallel with the old - no removal needed.

Does it have a fuse we got hit by lighting and now the Pc wont power up

To fix the problem, you need to disassemble the power supply, replace the burnt out fuse, & also check the bridge rectifier section for burnt out rectifying diodes (these usually get burnt out if the high current gets the chance to leak past the fuse, which could sometimes happen). If you find burnt out rectifying diodes, you will need to replace them as well, as they could burn out the fuse again when you try to use the power supply while they are still there.

Emerson 32 inch LCD TV will not come on.

I'm sure you already checked the outlet and the surge protector bar. It's lame how the warranty only last a year on this TV.

If your lucky, it will be just the fuse that need to be replaced. It will look like a little glass tube with metal caps on the ends. Radio Shack or an Electronic supply store will have the fuse. Just show them the fuse and they should match up the type and size. It needs to be 4amps and 125volts fuse.

If this doesn't work, you'll need to replace is the power supply board. The board# is BA71F0F01042. Your power supply board should have the same number on the lower right side of this board.

The board is hard to find right now. Only three places I know of to find it.
Ebay,
Discount-Merchant.com,
and Shopjimmy.com
Sadly, nobody has them in stock.
I wish I had a extra board to sell you, because I know how to repair the power supply. I have the schematics diagrams and part# for the pieces on the board.
If you ever come across a replacement board, let me know. I would like to buy your old board. Here's my e-mail, www.dsacco86@hotmail.com

My Westy 47 TV has a very strange power-up problem! First, I found that the power supply was bad, I couldn't repair it, so I bought a replacement from ShopJimmy. The replacement seems to be working fine, and sometimes the TV works fine. The little green LED near the bottom edge of the controller board lights up when you connect the AC power, as it should. There is also a small green LED near the upper edge of the controller board that apparently lights only up when the controller is working properly. I've replaced the 470 mFd, 16 V. 'Lytic on the controller board, as everyone says to do. I still observed about 0.8 Vp-p of digital signals on the 5 Volt buss with the replacement capacitor these signals looked kind of like a 300 kHz clock and some other misc. digital stuff, so I added a couple of 0.1 mFd disc ceramics directly across it on the bottom side of the board. That reduced these signals to about 0.4 Vp-p, but the TV still won't turn on. The orange pilot light on the front is lit, but neither the buttons nor the remote will turn it on. The only way I can get the TV to turn on is to do the following: 1. disconnect the two power cables going to the two lamp inverter boards; 2. plug the AC power cable in. The 2nd green LED on the upper portion of the controller board now lights up when AC power is applied. 3. plug in both power cables to the two inverter boards while the power is on. The TV now works fine - all of the lamps light up, good picture, blue LED on the front panel, the remote works, etc. However, if I turn the TV off, and try to turn it back on, the small green LED on the upper controller board goes off, and the set won't come on! I've tried holding the on/off button down for over 10 seconds I read that this might re-boot the controller to no avail. The only way to get it back on is to go thru the 3 above steps again. I've read that there appear to be several versions of the firmware, and I wonder if this might be a firmware problem. If so, how/where can I get the proper firmware to install? Any suggestions? HELP! Please If someone would like to call me, please do at ************. Thanks, Gary W3DTN
