If the windows password, there is software available on fleabay that purport to reset passwords. If system or hdd password, replace the hdd to continue. If BIOS password, take it to an authorised Sony Service Centre.
Bios passwords on laptops are only over rode by the the manufacture. This is because they are easy theft items. IBM for instance have a government contract so they will never offer you support for that. You can prove ownership to Sony they may have a master password. Good luck though not heard any company yet that will give that info over the phone. There is NO work around for a that other than Sony doing it.
The BIOS password is probably the Power On Password. This method may not work. Remove the BIOS battery for 20 mins until the charge in the BIOS is depleted. Insert the BIOS battery go into the BIOS setting and set the Date and Time etc. If this does nor work then the BIOS password is stored on an EEPROM chip and removing the BIOS battery won't work and there is probable no backdoor passwords. The Sony support maybe able to offer a solution, check the support WEB site..
Here are the program working: Step1: Download Windows Password Reset and install it. Step2: Burn the ISO image file onto a USB flash drive. Step3: Boot up your Windows by the bootable burned USB in minutes. Step4: Remove the forgot Windows Sony vaio password on the operation interface and logon PC without password.
Remove the battery, remove the power cord and start taking the laptop apart. You will need to remove the CMOS battery located on the motherboard and let it sit for an hour or two. Then but it all back together. The CMOS battery is a silver battery about the size of a nickel.
Try this solution to your problem.
Start your computer 1. Keep pressing "F1,F2 or F8" as the laptop computer starts.(Depending on your computer) This will start the computer in Safe Mode. 2. When the window "Advanced Boot Options" opens, choose "Safe Mode" with arrow key and confim by pressing the Enter key, then PC enters the Safe Mode. 3. Once you are in the Safe mode Click "Administrator" on the Windows login screen. Take note that you have set the Administrator password before, you need to input the changed password instead of leaving "Password" field blank. 4. Then click Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Select the account that is locked and change the password. 5. Restart laptop and login into the account you just created using your new password.
