Question about LG LW1200ER Air Conditioner

Ruud achiever 90 plus furnace will not start with door on.

I have a ruud achiever 90 plus. The furnace will not ignite, however it will ignite if the furnace cover is off. The system tries to start and shuts down. I take the cover off, the system starts up and ignites. When it does not start with the door on I get a green light blinking twice. I can not figure this one out. Thanks for any advise.

I would try to check your return air first, making sure there is no blockage and that your air filters are clean. It almost sounds like when you take the cover off, you are pulling enough air into the system for it to run, but as soon as you close it off, it's not getting enough air flow, therefore, tripping a limit switch inside the furnace. Most furnaces will also have the codes for the flashing lights and what they mean on the inside of the door covers.

I have a Ruud Achiever 90 Plus Gas Furnace with Air Conditioner. I have a new Nest Thermostat. What is the correct wiring connections on the Furnace?

A Ruud Achiever gas furnace I believe came in a two stage model for heating. What this means is that you will have a high and a low setting. Your furnace should have two wires that control the heating cycle a W1 and W2. This should correspond with the terminals on the nest thermostat. You may run into issues if you do not have enough thermostat wires to control the furnace. If you are ever in the need for Ruud And Rheem Gas Furnaces we offer a great selection online. Shop Natural Gas Furnace. We also have a chat line which can provide technical support.

Ruud 90 Plus Achiever furnace starts, ignites, runs for 30 seconds, goes out, then does it again and again.

Hi,
It would seem as though you have a bad flame sensor or the ground from the burner to the ignition control is bad...

Could be the ignition control also but not nearly as likely...

Pressure switch can also cause these problems...

Bottom line is that you will need to grab a meter and try to figure out what is causing the flame to cutout...

Here is a tip that will help you try to figure out why your furnace is not working.

does the furnace ignite?? your system may not have been lighting and has gone into ignition lockout count the codes of the led lights then remove panel led diagnostic codes are listed there.
if led codes indicate no problem verify capacitor is good and that mtr is getting 115 volts.

The door, you mean the metal cover on the front? if you have the door off and push the safety switch in with your hand everything works fine? I need more info here, but if what I said is right, then the "door" isn't making good contact with the switch.
