There is a fuse in this microwave.The fuse is difficult to get to.
But i do not think it is this fuse.You have lights and the carousel
spins.This sounds like the thermostat or the magnetron tube that
creates the heat.

no the problem is more than your fuze! Micro waves have a high voltage output transformer inside that goes bad. You can fix it yourself but if your not good with electronics I would have someone else do the job!

My GE JVM1540 microwave appears to run but it won't heat. The lights and turntable work but it does not heat at all.


you will have to replace the microwave, sounds like a burned out magnetron, replacing the magnetron is almost as expencive as a new oven...

MICROWAVE NOT HEATING


Most likely you have a magnetron problem. Easy to replace (DYI) but make sure the high voltage capacitor is fully discharged first against the case.

Light, turntable and fan don't work


Possibly the light bulb has blown, which has blown on a track on the board which has taken out the turntable motor and the fan. Also, there could be a problem with the door switch.

Microwave oven does not heat anything. Clock, turntable, lights work. I turned the turntable off while the oven was cooking--heard a noise, now it doesn't heat anything.


Spacemaker XL 1400 worked for 7 years.Yesterday, no more heat. Also plastic door damaged.

have a GE xl1800 microwave that is not heating the food. The lights work, turntable turns etc. all but no heat. Help this microwave is only 1 years old.
