The part you are referring to is called the clothes or drum lifter.
The only solution is to replace it with a new one, they click into slots in the drum, and the locating lugs on yours have probably broken or twisted out of alignment.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.

My white knight tumble dryer wont start

Nothing works or drum fails to turn (tumble dryers)
Ensure that the power supply to the dryer is switched on, the timer is set to the desired drying time and the door is correctly closed. If you have a condenser model, also check that the bottle is empty and is fully pushed into the machine.

The first thing to establish when troubleshooting the clothes dryer is whether the dryer will start or not. If it won't, start by checking the outlet and the circuit breaker. Is the dryer plugged in or has it tripped the circuit breaker? If the breaker has been tripped, flip it back on and try the dryer again. The drum should turn without a problem.
If both plug and breaker are fine, you'll need to inspect the door switch as you continue to troubleshoot the tumble dryer. When you close the door on the dryer, a plastic peg should click and operate the switch which allows the dryer to work. The peg might be bent or broken, in which case it won't connect with the switch. You can try to straighten the peg, but if it's broken, you'll need to replace it. If the peg is fine, the switch has probably failed and will need to be replaced.

Why is my Tumble Drier keeps beeping without stopping a few minutes into the drying program?

It sounds like the carbon brushes are probably worn down - they ride on the drum (in the top ) and determine the amount of moisture left in the clothes for drying - they connect to the drum and the metal bar inside the dryer - A wet clothing item conducts between the two giving the dryer an idea of how much moisture is left in the load - equal to how much time / heat is needed to dry load as required. These brushes wear out and need to be replaced over time

My Maytag Performa electric dryer heats and tumbles, but the clothes take multiple cycles to dry, and water is pooling next to the left front foot. We cleaned the vent, replaced the vent hose, and opened...

two things come to mind; 1. although drum is rotating perhaps it is slipping under load. Change drum belt, and, 2. perhaps the problem isn't in the dryer, it could be that your washer is not spinning out properly leaving an inordinate amount of water in your clothes which would tax the performance of the dryer. Just a thought. good luck!

Zanussi tumble dryer tds 280w front gasket snapped

it is the drum gasket that goes round the inner drum that forms a seal and acts as a buffer for the drum to ride on if not replaiced the dryer will get noisy and wear the drum out they are stuck on with a glue

Too many rpms, how do i slow my dryer down? t731

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

The first thing which comes to mind is this, have you brought this machine into north america from overseas ?

I ask because this is a problem which can manifest from the motor operating on 60hz cycle but designed for a 50hz cycle.

The drum will actually spins too fast hence the items don`t tumble but rather stay pushed to the perimeter of the drum...thus not drying.

If you open the door and run the dryer, the drum on an Asko T731 dryer should rotate at 52rpm. I use a piece of tape on the drum to keep count.

Let me know what you find and we`ll go from there.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

My clothes are sopping wet when the wash has finished and there is water at the bottom of the drum. I can sort it by taking clothes out, bailing out the water and then re-spinning the clothes twice to get...

Sounds like a blocked outlet pipe. It may be possible that a small item of clothing i.e. sock or baby item may be stuck between the drums and occasionally moves over the outlet from the drum causing the blockage, hence only happens once in a blue moon. To see if you can see if there is something between the drums use a flashlight to help you look through the holes in the inner drum to see if there's a stray sock or something that can be moving around between the drums and covering the outlet. If there is then you will have to remove the outlet pipe from the bottom of the drum to try and remove the item that is causing the blockage, check all the way around the drum as it may be stuck to the inner drum at the time. If no item is found between drums then the blockage may be in the outlet pipes (both sides of the pump) or in the pump. Check these also as it may even be a small button or coin creating a blockage if it is moving around.

Dryer 65291, burn marks

The problem you describe is usually caused by a rear drum seal worn and pinching articles during part of the drum's rotation. Replacing the rear drum seal is covered in great detail at the link below. Be sure to follow all links in blue that pertain to your machine. Caution: The glue that comes with the seal is VERY sticky and messy and comes out faster than you'd like at times. Do not get it on areas and items you're not prepared to discard. It is VERY difficult to remove once dry and it dries very quickly.

I have a WhiteKnight CL43 tumble dryer. The drum will not turn without first being turned by hand before quickly closing the door. It will then continue until its time for the drum to reverse and it stops...

Not all that familiar with the Whiteknight dryer series but a dryer is a dryer and your problem sounds like it could be narrowed down to a few things. Based on your description of the problem and without knowing how much use that dryer has been subjected to, it sounds like you have a belt slipping ..or if it is configured like many other dryers..there may be a belt tensioner that came loose. In either case, the drive motor pulley spins andthe belt doesn't have enough tension or friction on the drum to rotate it. You might try cycling it without clothes to see if it spins up... if it does spin ( without assisting it) then once you add the weight of the clothes it doesn't have enough friction to spin the drum. Hope that helps !

Clothes dryer

washer dryer and dryer ony machines differ in a huge way. the big diff. is the drums on each are completly different sizes. the conventional dryer has the bigger, giving better air flow and tumble to clothes. the w/d has a smaller drum thus less air flow and less tumble between clothes. the best way to see this effect is remove half the clothes after a wash and then select a drying cycle. u will see that by giving the clothes more room to tumble free of each other rather than tumbling in a large ball will dry them. washer dryers are really only a marketing tool.
