Cannot html or check boxes on ebay

Using internet browser on ebay and cannot use the pull down menus such "ending soonest" and when I select the next page on a list of results it just goes back to the first page, on my own page I cannot update status of transaction or leave feedback etc as pull down menus do not work and others remain blank. Cannot view alternative photos or enlarged photos any more. Running windows 7 and internet explorer on a brand new laptop does it on my old laptop as well never used to. Ebay "support" (in name only) said it was down to the browser end of story. Please help ebay sucks

I suggest that you try to use another browser or clear your browser's cookies and cache before you view the eBay site.
Please be advised that clearing the cookies and cache is necessary to clear your browser's cache. The "cache" is the memory your browser uses to store content of the web pages that you visit. That way, if/when you visit those pages again, the content will load more quickly.

The yahoo games is not loading the applet why is that

JavaScript are fully enabled in your browser. Follow the steps below for your browser:

Netscape 4.XX or newer for Windows, Mac, or Linux

Click "Edit" in the menu bar, and then select "Preferences."
Click the word "Advanced" and put checks in the boxes next to "Enable Java" and "Enable JavaScript."
Internet Explorer 4.XX for Windows

Click "View" in the menu bar, and then select "Internet Options."
Click the "Security" tab.
For the Internet Zone, be sure that the Security level is set to "Medium" or below. (If you 've chosen to customize your Security settings for the Internet zone, be sure that under the Java heading, "Java permissions" is not set to "Disable Java." You'll want to select one of the three safety levels instead. Also be sure that under the Scripting heading, "Scripting of Java Applets" is set to "Enable" or "Prompt.")
Next, click the "Advanced" tab.
Scroll down until you see the subheading "Java VM."
Check the boxes next to "Java logging enabled" and "Java console enabled." (Note: If you've checked the box next to "Java JIT compiler enabled" and are experiencing freezing problems, uncheck that box.)
Internet Explorer 5.XX or 6.XX for Windows

Click "Tools" in the menu bar, and then select "Internet Options."
Click the "Security" tab. For the Internet zone, be sure that the Security level is set to "Medium" or below. (If you've chosen to customize your security settings for the Internet zone, be sure that under the Java heading, "Java permissions" is not set to "Disable Java." Note to Windows XP users

By default, the Windows XP operating system comes with the Internet Explorer 6 browser without the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) installed, which is required to run Java programs such as Yahoo! Games.

If you install Windows XP over an existing installation of Windows that already has Internet Explorer with a JVM installed, then you should be able to play just fine.

At this time, Microsoft no longer provides a download of the JVM if you do not already have it installed. You're welcome to contact them for information on where to find and download this program.

However, you have the option to download Sun's Java plug-in by visiting

http://www.java.com/en/download/help/aut…

Sun is the creator of Java, and their plug-in will allow you to play Yahoo! Games.

Internet Explorer 4.5 or 5 for Macintosh OS 8-9

Select "Edit" from your menu bar and choose "Preferences..."
Then, click the "Java" bullet within the Web Browser section.
Make sure that the "Enable Java" box is checked.
Internet Explorer 5 for Macintosh OS X

Select "Preferences" from the "Explorer" menu.
Select "Java" from the left navigation bar.
Place a check-mark next to "Enable Java."
You may also want to clear your cache and restart your browser.

If you continue to have problems, double-check your computer's compatibility with Yahoo! Games. Source(s): Yahoo games help page

Recently, when I access my bank's website, I am logged out whenever I change the screen. This didn't happen before, and it only happens with the bank website. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

I suggest that you try clearing your cookies & browser cache.

Corruption of locally stored data will cause problems for sites requiring login details.

If you are using the Firefox browser, select from the main (drop-down) menus; <Tools> -> <Clear Private Data> then select the check boxes next to [Cache] and [Cookies] - ensure all other check boxes are cleared and then click the <Clear Private Data Now> button.

If you are familiar with the process described, I suggest that you first try clearing only the cache ( retaining your cookies) - if that is unsuccessful then repeat the above, also removing the cookies.

If you are using Internet Explorer please request clarification and I will update accordingly - I haven't used it routinely for many years. close.gif Read more >> Options >> answers-logo.gif
