The bayonet fitting is on the end of the gas pipe that plugs into the gas main. look at the back of your cooker follow the black pipe you will see a brass end that fit to the solid gas pipe if you have a ring on the end of you flexible pipe that you can push in slightly and turn to disconnect you have a bayonet. its not the cooker that is a bayonet but the flexy pipe that is connected to your cooker. you can add one if one not fitted

Karcher lance fitting

if they are the plastic version, replace them as they tend to "expand" as they age and won't fit properly.

My light bulb broke on the lamp and i can not take it off

If this is a normal domestic light fitting with either a bayonet or screw fitting then simply unplug the lamp at the socket then use a potato cut in half to either push down and undo a bayonet or push onto the remains of a screw bulb and unscrew it. Ensure the lamp is unplugged first and that the fitting is clean and dry before re fitting a new bulb

I have a cooker with a bayonet fitting that wan't connect the the wall because the wall has a screw fitting what part do i need to connect the cooker to this ?

Hello,
You need to check with your hardware store and get a fitting compatible with your fitting on the stove. This will have to be fitted to the wall pipe but I stress that this should only be carried out by a registered gas fitter.

Hope this helped.

Getting Pot in the Cooker

the pot is not suppose to be a tight fit. now if there is more and half an inch space then it is a manufacturer defective. but if there is less than half an inch then that's normal cause you have to be able to take it out and wash it. as long as it doesn't rattle when cooking everything is fine

Door light stays on...

The door light is controled by a switch that is mounted inside the body of the shredder and is operated by a bayonet type of prong that is attached to the door itself. The most likely causes are: the bayonet attached to the door has come off and the switch never is closed. The other possible is that the switch which is adjustable in most units has gone out of adjustment. If you look at the door and follow the bayonet's path, you will see a slit in the front of the unit the the bayonet fits into and if you look under the slit the screws that adjust the switch, one of which is in a slotted opening. Loosen the screw and pull the screw toward the front of the machine and that shouls cause the switch to be activated when the door is closed. The other possibility is that the switch is bad or the circuit board that the switch connects with is bad, and that's going to take the services of a qualified technician, and that means money. However, the simplest is ususally the switch. Let me know if this helps. Aloha, Bill Monroe
