IPod is disabled, and I forgot my password / passcode.

The screen lock is available on the iPod Touch, as well as recent models of the iPod, and iPod nano, allowing you to set a 4-digit passcode to lock the screen. This is to prevent others from using your iPod, but it is not an impregnable security device. If you forget the passcode, you can quickly and simply unlock the iPod by connecting it to the computer you normally use to sync your iPod with iTunes.

How do I unlock iPod Screen Lock if you forget your password?

<p>The lock screen on an iPod can be a blessing and a curse. I forget my password on ipod touch

You can unlock it by simply connecting it to the computer that it was originally loaded from. iTunes will unlock the iPod for you, but it will not reset iPod password. Of course, as long as you don’t need to lock it again, that should be okay. The iPod will not lock automatically — it only does so if you specifically select the “lock screen” option.
There are several hacks and workarounds out there that will supposedly let you clear out the password by editing files in the iPod’s control directories through disk mode access, but I have never been able to consistently reproduce these, particularly on more recent firmware versions.
The only sure-fire way to actually remove the password entirely is to perform a “restore” on your iPod, which will erase everything on it, basically returning it to factory settings. If you’re using automatic sync, however, it should be almost trivial to reload it from iTunes, although it will take a bit of time.

Trouble with combination to screen lock on my ipod nano4gb

To set a password you just move the wheel around to pick a number. Press the center button to go to the next field. If you forget the password you will have to plug your Ipod into Itunes and restore it to factory settings.
