Need to get belt kit for the RCA RS1289

Go online to rca, contact customer support and technical department. They should be able to provide the belt kit. The second option is go to a rca dealer nearest you. The third option is to bring all the belts down to a tv repair shop and have them size up, using a belt gauge. This would be the cheapest approach.

Where can I buy the fuse?

The tv repair shop carries a large stock of fuses, just bring the old one so they can give you the correct one.

Cd does'nt play

The only thing that a cunsumer can do, is to take a dry q-tip and clean the lens. If that doesn't fix it, you will need to take it to a repair shop.

Power shuts off

The unit is in "protect" mode. Basically a problem is detected in the last output stage of the amplifier section and the unit shuts down to prevent further damage. I suspect that you connected too many speakers to the system. The impedence load was too low for the amp section to handle and one or more output transistors have failed. This should be a straightforward repair for any local repair shop. Figure on $20-$40 for parts plus the local labor rate for the repair. I am not familiar with your specific model, but these shelf units are all similar in design. I will try to locate the service manual for this one to get you more details.

Just set the time, and the problem is gone. When you swich off, it will display "good-bye", then current time, then completely off.

Power problems

The set is detecting a problem internally and shutting down to prevent further damage. This is often call protection mode. I would guess that there is either a bad connection somewhere or a part starting to fail. If there is a pattern to the failures, a quick trip to the repair shop is in order armed with that info. Rough guess would be abaout $30 in parts plus the local labor rate. This is based upon my own repair experience with these systems.

JVC MX-GT50 model help

Often there is a thermal fuse or a surface mount fuse that looks more like an IC then a fuse. Check for these. Also if you are comfortable with a meter check after the transformer to see if you are getting power there. Also check the voltage regulators. If you are not comfortable with this then off to the repair shop it goes! If you contact JVC they should be able to tell you where to find an authorized repair shop. I would suspect though that there is another fuse in the circuit board. You should be able to find it fairly easily.

Power light only flashes

No that is the unit telling you I am shorted so I will not turn on as it could cause a fire. Most likely there is a short in the audio output amplifier. This unit will need to ba taken into a repair shop and diagnosed. Good Luck
