Foxconn nettop display flickers

The most likely problem is that the computer annot process the video information fast enough. Although it could also be that the screensaver is cutting in. Unfortunately the Intel Atom is not really powerful enough to play video on a hi def screen, unless there is a discrete graphics card installed. The spec of the computer and it's name give a clue as to the intended use, also the output of the power supply (@ 65W) is not conducive to the unit being used as a video streamer. Sorry.

Impossible to boot after changing BIOS settings. No BIOS reset jumber No removable battery Nothing in the documentation. How can I reset the BIOS of thie computer ? Thanks,

If not even the pressing of the Del key during POST brings the BIOS screen then you will have to dismantle the unit, disconnect the SDD and try to boot like that. If it fails even now then the BIOS has been corrupted beyond repair - you will have to send the unit for repair - a dealer or the manufactured will have to reload a new BIOS at a hardware level, with special tools and software.

Hey... I assembled my pc two weeks back... It worked fine dat time... But suddenly yday the display wont show up.... Just pitch black on the monitor.... The system has power, cpu fan is running......

There is a chance the motherboard is defective. If you're using an onboard graphics controller and not getting any video, that is probably the issue.

I have had RAM cause a similar problem to this. Remove and reseat the RAM and try again. If this problem continues, I would RMA the motherboard.

Hope this helps!

I have AGP8X motherboard, P4, Wiindows XP m/c with 256MB RAM. As speed is too slow, I purchased 1GB RAM. After installating it, PC never starts (says System file missing). But, if i install 1GB a,longwith...

The RAM stick you bought is either incompatible with your motherboard, or it is a lemon from the factory. Did you perhaps buy this RAM off of ebay or other such site? Make sure to buy RAM online from online vendors like newegg.com, tigerdirect.com, zipzoomfly.com and amazon.com. Too many super-cheap parts coming from china being sold on certain sights. Buyer beware. If you can, send the RAM you bought back for a refund.
I'd like to tell you what kind of RAM is supposed to be in your motherboard, but you didn't list the model of the motherboard. AGP 8x is a type of standardized slot for video cards that they put on motherboards. It's not the name of the motherboard itself.

Besides keeping your cache clean, what else makes the computer run faster? IE: prosessor, ram, ??

Well a number of things will ensure your system runs fast however like most things your PC will need a MOT every 2 years i.e. a full reformat

However you can do the following to ensure your PC does not slow down

1) Dont visit any sites you are suspicious off as they will install malware and viruses will slow your PC right down
2) Dont install unecessary programs - only install prgrams you will use time and time again as others will install themselves in startup thus slowing down your startup times
3) You can install more RAM this will speed up the applications- ensure you get the right RAM for your motherboard and is installed by a professional
4) install a good free firewall and antivirus software like AVG or commodo to ensure you dont accumulate bad data

Hope this helps

How to you add ram?

Well in general for all computers you must get inside and once inside you will see where your old RAM is nested and clamped down to the board on each end.
You must release the ends that hold the RAM in place and replace with new RAM.
I have a dell and it has 4 slots so I did not have to remove the old two but I just added 2 more to the empty slots (next year I will add 2 more newer to replace the old so I will have 4 new and the max RAM avail and needed), locked them in place and carefully closed it all back up and turned on my computer and checked to see that I had more RAM now and now its is not as slow as before....

When i get started my pc p4v533-mx it is too slow before reaching the windows,, 256mb is my memory,, pls help,,

Depending on your version of windows 256mB is pretty low.

Consider adding more ram and doing a clean up of any applications you no longer use

Especially toolbars and messenger type items

I have an l4vxa2 motherboard, and the USB is supposed to be running 2.0, but is obviously running 1.1. I have an NAS/USB external, and transfers are PAINFULLY slow. Do you have a solution?

Some motherboards have USB 1.0 and 2.0

Try connecting to another port first.

Also check that in your BIOS that there are not any usb settings that need to be changed.

If you are unsure about playing in the BIOS ask a friend to help who has more knowledge.
