I have a 512 DDR2 (533 FSB) RAM in one of my slot in Intel D102GGC2 Mother board, can i put a 2 GB DDR2 ram in another slot.If yes then What FSB will match and what is the maximum capacity of ram per slot?

This motherboard will support maximum 2 GB of total system memory. so configuration is should be 1GB + 1GB or one 2GB in one slot. If you attempt to install 2GB + 512MB, this is unsupported. but you can try if might the system can read it or not. there is no serious problem for installing memory exceed than maximum system memory...
Memory supported is DDR2 533 Mhz and DDR2 400 MHz...(sometimes on the market DDR2 533 will described as module name PC2-4200 and DDR2 400 as PC2 3200)

My board does not turn on and its beeping. Ive counted 7 beeps. i tried replacing the memory with known good ones but still the beeping persist.

MSI states that 7 beeps means "Virtual mode exception error "

Explanation: Virtual mode is one of the different modes that the processor can run in. The system is reporting an error when testing this mode.
Diagnosis: There is a problem related to the processor or motherboard. Note that this doesn't mean that the processor is necessarily dead, since the system won't boot at all with a dead processor.

Not knowing the price of either your processor or the board it is hard to say what to do for the best

Good luck

Is it possible to install more than 2gigs of sdram with a 64 bit os like win 7 can I upgrade if I can find 2x2gig modules of ddr sdram or possibly need to upgrade the cpu also.

According to this spec. sheet from a company that sales your stated mother board (Asus K8V-MX) the maximum supported RAM is only 2 gb. If this is not the model of your board you should clarify that. For installing windows 7 AMD64 you need a 64 bit processor, the ones compatible with your board are the Athlon 64 line. You should consult the documentation that was included with your product since it is the best source of information about it.

I wanna know about the compatible ram for my intel d 485 gally mother board with 1.7 ghz processor

The D845GLLY board provide the following memory features:
  • Two DIMM sockets supporting 3.3 V (only) 168-pin 133 MHz Single Data Rate (SDR) SDRAM DIMMs with gold-plated contacts
  • Unbuffered non-ECC DIMMs only
  • Maximum total system memory: 2 GB; minimum total system memory: 64 MB
  • Serial Presence Detect (SPD) DIMMs only
  • Suspend to RAM
CAUTION:
Do not use ECC DIMMs with the Desktop Board. Using ECC DIMMs could damage the Desktop Board.
Integrator's Notes:
  • Registered DIMMs are not supported on the Desktop Board.
  • This Desktop Board has been designed to support DIMMs based on 512 Mbit technology for a maximum onboard capacity of up to 2 GB, but this technology has not been validated on this board.

Note:
To be fully compliant with all applicable PCI33 SDRAM memory specifications, the board should be populated with DIMMs that support the Serial Presence Detect (SPD) data structure. This allows the BIOS to read the SPD data and program the chipset to accurately configure memory settings for optimum performance.

I hope it helps!!!

Trouble shooting

OC failure = over clocking failure. Make sure the CPU fan is clean, free from dirt & dust. Check CPU fan plug is connected correctly. If the CPU fan still stops after a few seconds replace the CPU fan.
It's harder to find just a fan to fit your heatsink, which sits on your CPU. It is easier to find a new heatsink \ fan combo for your Intel. Use your manual to find what Intel chip is on your board. Use that information & search google for a heatsink & fan combo. Pay close attention to how your current heatsink is mounted to the Gigabyte board.

Normally 137gb but updating the bios will allow a larger size to be recognised.
