There should be a full model number after the 130HP, for example:
130HP E LM B
The first letter will be E for English display, J for Japanese display.
The second two letters define the frequency or frequencies for the transducer:
K = 200KHz
L = 70KHz
M = 50KHz
N = 28KHz
W = other

So, if your model number has LM in that part, then you have a 50/75 dual frequency model, and you can select one or the other frequency in the on-screen setup.
If you DON'T have LM in that part of the model number, then your model isn't built to support those frequencies, and it's more than a simple rewiring to change it.

How do i reset a sony STR-K740P receiver??? - Sony Str-k740p Radio Receiver

Tuner reset
You can change the AM tuning scale to 9 KHz or 10 KHz. After tuning in any AM station turn off the receiver. Hold down the Preset tuning + and - ve together.
All preset stations will be erased when you change the tuning scale. To reset the scale to 10 kHz (or 9 kHz), repeat the procedure. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Ft 2900r yaesu all i see on the screen is B0001 i can't see the frequency

Try powering the unit up while holding the Set/MHz button. I did that and it restored the display (and the rest of the radio's operation) back to normal.

The character codes are test-mode displays that correspond to frequencies (in MHz):

A0001-A0640 - 136.000-143.9875 in 12.5 KHz steps B0001-B0400 - 144.000-147.990 in 10.0 KHz steps
C0001-C2081 - 148.000-174.000 in 12.5 KHz steps

I haven't the foggiest idea why this isn't in the manual somewhere, or at least flipped back to normal by a two-key or three-key reset. 73, k2mct

Have a Toshiba 500GB external hard drive, model: HDDR500E03X and I've been using it for some time on a few of my computers, but lately it hasnt been displaying. I dont know much about Ubuntu to begin...

Sounds like some kind of bad wire, you hope. It could be a power issue as you have stated, I would try it out on several diffrent computers, and you were not wrong in trying the y cable. But if that still doesnt work then not all is lost. I would recomend opening up the caseing and removing the hard drive. Even external drives simply use standard laptop SATA drives. If you have a desktop you can simply plug in the drive while your computer is off, if you do not have xtra spots to plug it up you could temp unpulg your dvd drive to test it. If you have a laptop than you can buy several devices to use a sata drive though usb. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153071&cm_re=usb_sata_docking_station-_-17-153-071-_-Product

This is the one I use the most.
Good luck , if you have any questions let me know

Frequency increases/decreases in steps of 0.2 kHz

Hi again, Seems you posted twice. A copy of my reply to your other post.... Assuming no hardware fault to the radio, tuning steps may be adjusted by: 1. With the radio switched off, press the Step/Band button for about 2 seconds. This will display the current FM tuning step (200Khz as in your case); 2. With the radio switched off, press the Step/Band button for about 10 seconds. This will display FM and a blinking 50Khz with a single beep sound. By rotating the Tuning Control you can increase or decrease this value. 3. pressing the Step/Band button again will move you to the tuning increments of the AM band again adjustable via the Tuning Control. 4. pressing the Step/Band button again will save the setting and complete the process. Hope this be of some help. Good luck and kind regards.

Range Warning

first, 68.5 khz -85hz means horizontal raster frequency of source signal is at 68.5 kilohertz and repeats vertically at 85 hertz. (hertz means "cycles per second). the sony monitor cannot "read" the signal being sent from the pc. change the screen resolution to a lower number like 75 or 70 hertz vertical.
