I would check the door switch too. This could be kepping the machine from coming on because it thinks the dryer door is open.

The dryer will not run its cycle, the drum does not turn nor does the fan run. However, the timer counts down as though it is running a load. Door is tightly closed and temperature in room is not below 32...


I have a g e dryer modle # dblr333eeocc when i hit the start botton the dryer just hums. If i spin the drum by hand and then hit the door switch the dryer will work untill you open the door

Dryer wont start. starter switch is new and timer will run when the door is closed


HI. if the timer is running, and the wiring harness is in good condition, this will confirm motor failure. I would advise to test the operational value of the door switch as well but if the door switch is working, this will only lead to motor failure.

if possible, with the door open, push the limit switch the door normally hits to let the drier know the door is shut. That switch may be bad.

DRYER ONLY WORKS BY HOLDING DOWN THE TIMER BUTTON


You need to replace or repair the timer control, this is not a faulty motor control unit.

Dryer not turning on


most likely its the timer it has electrical contacts built on the timer that allow it to start its cycle if the timer has bad contacts it wont allow dryer to come on
