Question about Samsung HLP5674W 56" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
A common problem with these samsung dlp projection tvs is a color wheel , it begins to wear from the motor bushings and the motor starts making a noise and rpm begin to vary, besides the color changing if you notice a hum or buzz be sure that as the motor gets worse the noise will be louder. If you are handy with a screwdriver and can keep good notes you can probably replace it your self. The colorwheel is available from several on line electronics parts stores(partstore.com is one of them) all you need is the model number and the brand, as to the replacement procedure there is a very well detailed procedure on line (with pictures and instructions) just follow the following link: http://www.jangro.com/electronics/samsung-dlp-replace-color-wheel/ ater you teken a look of what the job consists of you can make the decision to take on the job or not. Good Luck!
