I too am having a problem with Windows XP seeing my ClearChat USB headphone/mic .. I know you said to reinitialize the usb controller. How do you do this? I'd like to try that on my machine .. I am able to take the headset and plug it into another machine and it see's it just fine. I look forward to a fix on this issue. Email me at mtstarrfire45@yahoo.com

My computer isn't recognizing my new headset. I've plugged it in correctly on the back of the tower. It's a logitech clear chat stereo.

I do not have a solution but I'm having a somewhat similar problem. Just bought it, never been used. It's recognizing sounds as if my speakers were plugged in. HOWEVER: it doesn't recognize other voices from other people in Ventrilo or xfire programs. Nothing is muted on my end cause obviously I can hear sounds from games or music.. but no voices. The mic works but the earphones cannot pick up voices. What can I do?

I have the same problem.  I fixed it.  Go to Start -> Run  type services.msc   Find the windows audio entry.   Right click on it.  Click Start.  It should fix it assuming you're having the same problem

The logitech headset doesnt require drivers it should work right away after plugin in

try with another pc if the problem persists then its a faulty headset if not then you need to reinitialize your usb ports.

realtech hd is your sound device. go into windows control panel and access the sound settings then navigate to voice settings click the volume button, your mic might be muted. also if you want the headphones to work plug them into the plug that your speakers are using (side-note: mics and head phones never need something installed to work as long as your sound device works and your definitely does work, only when the mic is a special interface like USB do you need to install software and/or drivers)

To solve your headset audio problem you would need to let the PC install the your device driver. Once that is finished right click on the speaker icon to the right bottom and select the Playback Devices option. You should see your device headset icon right click on it and choose Set as Default Device and that you would guaranteed to you work for you. Good luck to you!

Hi, I purchased two units of logitech cordless

Your friend should be able to use the headset if your friend's computer has Bluetooth feature. THe computer will send and receive the Bluetooth signals with one transmitter/receiver like your computer does and then connect to the wireless lan with a different transmitter/receiver system on a different frequency. Just make sure your friend's computer has Bluetooth feature turned on and then setup the headset by the "pairing" process.

Have you tried changing the Audio Device that windows is using?
Under the Sound and Audio Devices in the ontrol Panel. Under the Audio tab, try the Default Device under Sound playback. Change this to the headphones.
