SOURCE: USB ports not working Acer Aspire laptop

Two solutions would be to either restore your pc to before the problem started, using system restore on accesories menu, or use the recovery cd or the recovery folder Acer laptops usually have on the 'D' drive and re-install usb controllers and drivers.

SOURCE: SD Card Reader Not Working on Acer Aspire 5600 Laptop

Please try another SD card as to eliminate the card as the source of the problem. As you mentioned uninstalling and reinstalling the driver in Device Manager you may want to "Roll Back Driver" there as an update could have caused this problem initially and reinstalling the updated driver wouldn't solve it.
Post back your results so that we may continue to help you troubleshoot this issue?
Thanks and good luck.

Spilled coffie on toshiba satellite l505-es5018 powered it off let dry opened it to look at damage not much on the mainboard but it wont power on when you plug it in to ac the fan runs as soon as u plug...

Anytime where liquid is introduced to a keyboard, witch is a direct input to the main board its without question that the main board would be effected. A main board has a BIOS Basic input and output system. When a motherboard shows sign of life with errors you would here some beeping. Whilst you hear nothing but fans so yes I would put my opinion on the main board.

Coffee most likely with sugar and cream, not all like it black. If this is the case or not the case its still liquid and a laptop is powered by a battery turned on or not. Anytime liquid touches a PCB board in layman's terms Motherboard your going to have damage.

Repair would be costly as you would need a new main board, keyboard shoot you might just want to purchase a new laptop at this point given there dirty cheap now days.

Thanks for the question, I hope my answer was Helpful, please do not forget to rate and leave feedback!

Thanks and best regards,

I have spilled just a spoon of water on my laptop, after it the keyboard is not working a t all, i cant even log into bios. i have sony vaio vgn z series laptop, i tried to delete the driver, and when...

When this happens, you should fully disassemble the laptop & thoroughly inspect its inside. Look for any traces of liquid on the circuit boards & on other components. On circuit boards, liquid damage appears in the form of whitish traces. These needs to be wiped off. This can be done using a tooth brush moistened with few drops of hand sanitizer liquid.
Check all internal connectors & make sure that no liquid seeped into them. Dry them if needed.
When you are done, re-assemble back the laptop.
If the liquid fell on the keyboard & you found out that the keyboard is no longer working, then you will have to replace the keyboard.

First thing is to not try powering the laptop on after the liquid fell on it. Next, you should remove the battery off the laptop immediately. Check the hard drive's connector to the motherboard for any liquid damage & clean it.
When you are done, re-assemble back the laptop.

I broke my USB port on my Acer Aspire 4730Z. How

open the laptop, desktop pc, and remove carefully the internal usb connector, that goes to the motherboard, BEFORE ANYTHING DISCONNECT THE POWER CABLE, AND EVERY SINGLE CABLE ITS CONNECTED TO, MOUSE, KEYBOARD...ETC. then see which kind it is, and go to your local hardware store, Best Buy, Fry's, or order it online.
