Did you or anybody changed something in the indoor unit?
Normally when the unit is making a buzzing sound, the model plug is mounted the wrong way on the electrical board.

NOTE THE COMMENT ABOUT THE RESET AND THE SIMULTANEOUS SELECTION OF THE + - SET and CLEAR BUTTONS to effect a reset after replacingg batteries

HOW TO INSTALL BATTERIES Remove the lid in the rear part of the remote control unit.
Insert two AAA alkaline batteries of 1,5 V-DC. Make sure the batteries point in the direction marked in the battery compartment.
The batteries last about six months. Depending on how much you use the remote control unit. Remove the batteries if you do not use the remote control unit for more than one month. Press the +, -, SET and CLEAR buttons together after batteries replacement.
(This operation allows you to reset correctly all the programs. The remote control unit is to be set up again).Replace the batteries when the remote control unit lamp fails to light, or when the air conditioner does not receive the remote control unit signals.
The batteries of the remote control contain polluted substances exhausted batteries must be disposed according to the laws in force.

Kodak carousel makes a buzzing sound and will not advance

Your problem is most likely related to cycle contact adjustment. See the attached illustration for the parts involved and the SPECIFIC POSITION of the contact parts:

My dvd remote does not work when i try to start movies

Greetings! Does your TV front panel works? If so, the problem lies surely on the remote control portion. But make sure first that the RC unit batteries are new ones. Turn on any portable FM radio receiver and point the RC unit near its antenna. Turning the dial knob very slowly, press any remote control keypads permanently. The moment you hear an oscillating sound from the receiver speaker, stop turning the dial and start to play with the RC unit keypads to find out if there is any sound changes, that means your remote control unit is emitting an infrared signal and its a healthy sign.! Then the defect is on your TV's remote receiver section, mechanically i. e. cold solder or electrically (defective components). Good luck!

I recently bought a NR1501 receiver and a CD5004 CD player at the same time. I don't use the tuner as I have a separate DAB radio. I use the Aux2 source for the radio input and the CD source for the CD...

How did you isolate it to the CD player?

Of course you know that this fault lies in the realm of the Twilight Zone as no 'intelligence' or commands are exchanged between the units via their RCA cables.

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Marantz-NR1501-Receivers-manual/id/23506ag717/t/2/

I'd try to eliminate the posibility that erroneous remote control commands are getting into the receiver from somewhere, either your own remotes or some other I/R source. Block the I/R sensor on the receiver and see if it switches spontaneously. You may haved a rogue I/R source in the room.

Do not allow direct sunlight, an inverter fluorescent light or other strong source of light to shine onto the player's infrared receptor window. Otherwise, the operation of the remote controller may be disabled.

• Bear in mind that operating the remote controller may cause other devices operated by infrared rays to be operated by mistake.

• The remote controller cannot be operated if the space between the controller and the player's infrared receptor window is obstructed.

• Do not place any objects on top of the remote controller.

Doing so may cause one or more buttons to be held down which will cause the batteries to run down.

Dish remote quits working at 7pm.

Is this issue with an IR (infrared) remote which is generally for "tv 1," or is it a UHF remote which is used commonly used for, "TV 2?" It sounds as though there may possibly be something interfering with the remote signal & strangely around the same time everyday! IR remote signal interference can be caused by other electronics that may be running & within close proximity of your DISH Network receiver. A way to determine if this is in fact the issue would be to power everything off but leave the receiver & your TV powered on. You would then proceed by powering one component on at a time, & then test a remote function after each component has successfully been turned on. Hopefully this process will help you when trying to determine if it is in fact a component that is causing interference and as a result the remote appears to stop working around 7pm. I Hope this helps you! If this doesn't resolve the issue, please feel free to contact me directly at any time. My e-mail is, Kirstie.filosa@Dishnetwork.com.

We have just purchased a universal remote for our ducted airwell air con - we need a code for it and airwell isnt listed on the remote

I am sorry if ask wha may seem like a few silly questions, but I need some clarification to assist you better.

-Is this a Residential AC Unit?
-If it is a residential AC unit, where is the thermostat located for this unit?
-Do you know if there is a wall mounted thermistor located on the wall in another room or in the room it cools?

I ask these questions, because generally if the fan coil is mounted in the ductwork, then there isn't always a way of controlling it remotely. Generally, it's controlled by hard-wired thermostat.
If you know it was controlled remotely, then you will need to go the website for the Airwell Fan coil and do a search on programming the remote. I'm sorry there is no short cut for this, you will need to obtain the code from Airwell.

Hope this helped... :D
