This is dvd drive motor issue, it may be because the motor is loosing strength so it cant connect with the magnet, in which case it will need replacing, as the solution above, or it is the magnet its self that has come loose, this needs gluing back on top of the motor, either way your console needs opening.
If you are desperate to play and need a quick fix, turn off your console and lie it flat
turn it on and wait till it says loading
give it a few raps with your knuckles(don't go mad) where the center of the disk will be
keep doing this it will load eventually.

Your laser may be dirty or the laser may be bad. If you hear the disc spin up and you can also hear the laser moving, then it is definitely the laser. If cleaning the laser lens fails, then you can either replace the laser or the drive. I prefer to change the entire drive. You can find one on EBAY for around $20. You have to get the exact same disc drive that you have in the console originally.The most important thing is the drive key that is located in the original drive. What this key does is store information and firmware. This key replaces the one in the new drive. If it isn't replaced, then your drive will not work.(and be banned) The key installed in the new drive makes the console recognize the new drive as the original. Do this while not connected to LIVE to ensure you have the key installed correctly and your drive is reading properly before you go on LIVE. Once reading discs, and everything checks out OK you can then go on LIVE.(with no worry on getting banned) There are a few tutorials on youtube for this fix. Keep in mind if you have a BENQ drive, replacing the key is a little trickier.(which you can also find on youtube for the BENQ drive) If you want to replace the laser get the one for your drive on EBAY and find the tutorial on EBAY. Either way is a fairly inexpensive fix. I hope this helps you.
