Can't get null modem usb to 9 pin cable to transmit designs to machine.

First, to transmit to your machine using a USB to serial converter, it should have a FTDI chip. Second, you should be transmitting on Com 1 or 2 -- preferably Com1. You can change the port it transmits on in the Device Manager in computer properties on your computer. Third, check on your machine which port it's looking for -- they must match.

Motorola V3xx

hi AliyaC,

I'm not sure which pins to connect for maximum functionality. If you want to connect your V3xx to a RJ45 connector, I suggest you look at buying a converter set which do this for you. I've put together this diagram to show which components will be required for the conversion:

Best Mac MXF File Converter-Import/Edit Canon MXF Files to ProRes 422 MOV to FCP...

Best Mac MXF File Converter-Import/Edit Canon MXF Files to ProRes 422 MOV to FCP

MXF file format comes from like Panasonic HVX200/HPX300, Canon XF300/XF305, Sony EX camera, etc. It is not compatible with many programs just like Apple Final Cut Pro. So Convert MXF file to FCP MOV Video is a necessary step to do if you want watch your video from your camcorder which export mxf file.

And we know that Apple ProRes 422 , Apple ProRes 4444,introduced in Final Cut Studio, was advertised to one of the codecs to result in less compression and higher data rate/higher quality files for HD editing in Final Cut Pro.

Below is the step-by-step guide for you to quickly Convert/Edit MXF to Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov) Final Cut Pro on Final Cut Studio,Final Cut Pro 7 on Mac.

Step 1. Add MXF videos to Aunsoft MXF Video Converter for Mac.
Connect your MXF Camcorder to iMac with USB 2.0 cable or use card reader to transfer the .mxf files to Apple hard drive disk. Run Aunsoft Video Converter for Mac as the best Mac MXF to FCP Apple ProRes Converter . and click the "Add" button to load .mxf videos.

Step 2. Choose Apple ProRes codec for Final Cut Pro.
Click the "Format" option, choose the Final Cut Pro > Apple ProRes 422 (*.mov) and navigate to the Final Cut Pro group, you will notice that there are profiles with Apple ProRes 422, Apple ProRes 422(HQ), Apple ProRes 422(LT), Apple ProRes 422(Proxy), Apple ProRes 4444. Here we choose Apple ProRes 422(HQ) (*.mov) as output format. (The Apple ProRes 422 (Proxy) codec is intended for offline editing and contains 30 percent of the data rate of Apple ProRes 422, and I recommend you to select Apple ProRes 422(HQ), Apple ProRes 422(LT) MOV for outputting.)

Step 3. Merge Canon MXF files. (Optional)
Tick the checkbox for "Merge into one file", and the Mac MXF Video Converter will join and combine the video clips into a single file as output.

Step 4. Convert MXF to Apple ProRes MOV for Final Cut.
Click the convert button under the preview window, the Mac MXF Video converter starts converting MXF videos to Apple ProRes MOV, and joining the MXF files for editing in Final Cut Studio.

After Converting and Merging the MXF files, just import the output Apple PreRes 422 .mov files to Final Cut Pro 7 or Final Cut Pro 6 for editing and the video .Optimize your workflow and save time with the Apple ProRes compression for Final Cut Pro. You can also import the output videos to Final Cut Express (FCE) 4 for editing in full HD.

Its not charging, may be one chip needs to be changed a pc tech man

A) So you've checked out that the AC adapter (Charger) is okay?

1) Putting out 19 Volts DC?
2) There is no problem with the cable from the AC adapter to the laptop, or power cord cable?
Wiggling the cable's while testing for Voltage shows no intermittent reading?

B) DC Power Jack on laptop (DC IN) is okay?
Positive center pin doesn't wiggle around, outside Negative shell of power jack doesn't move?
No perceptible movement?

C) What you are referring to is a sensor chip.
{Chip and Chipset are slang terms for I.C.
Integrated Circuit}

It is mounted to the motherboard in a BGA surface mount.

BGA surface mount;

Remember the old Intel Pentium 4 processors?
The processor has the pins, and the processor socket has the socket holes?

With a BGA surface mount there are no pins on the chipset.
Solder Balls take the place of the pins.

There are no socket holes. There are matching Copper Pads.

The chipset is set into place so that the Solder Balls line up with the Copper Pads.
Then a specified temperature of heat, and a specified time, is applied, and the solder balls melt, which solders the chipset to the copper pads. (Thereby soldering it to the motherboard)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ball_grid_array

Takes a BGA Reflow machine to replace the chipset, or a tech with a really steady hand, and EXCELLENT soldering/de-soldering skills.

Finding a replacement chipset is going to be tough. Not impossible perhaps, but tough.

In this instance it is more logical, albeit not economically feasible, to just replace the motherboard.
(Yeah, I despise that too)

The above is just from a quick search. You may find a better price.

My problem is, my wire of barcode symble scanner is deffective, i want repair it and change it to new usb, hwo to change usb from the end rj11?

A USB connector uses 4 pins.

It may have 5 pins in it, (Depends on the style of USB connector), but only 4 are used.

http://pinouts.ru/Slots/USB_pinout.shtml

The number 1 pin is used for 5 Volts. 5 volts is transferred from the computer through the USB cable on Pin 1.

The number 2 pin is used for Data transference.
The number 3 pin is also used for Data (Information) transference.

This is DC electricity so there is a Positive connection, and a Negative connection.
Pin 2 is the Negative connection.
Pin 3 is the Positive connection.

Pin 4 is used for Ground.

Suggest you match up the style of connector you have with the illustrations on the link.
Find Pin 1.
Look at your existing USB cable, and note what color wire goes to what pin.
Write it down.

Use the above to replace the USB cable.

I do not know how to wire nenwood kdc-422 to a 94 buick century?

You should have a wire harness pigtail that comes with your kenwood.
you can also purchase a harness adapter plug/pigtail at most audio auto stereo shops to fit your car make and model.
Be sure to save the packaging because the plastic bag has the color/codes for the harness. This harness is designed to plug right into the factory plug inside the dash just like the stock radios do.
All you need to do is splice the kenwood cables to the adapter plug pigtail you purchase for your car.
match up each wire as described here:

Car Radio Battery Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange
Car Radio Accessory Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow
Car Radio Ground Wire: Black
Car Radio Illumination Wire: Gray
Car Stereo Dimmer Wire: Brown
Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: Pink
Car Stereo Amp Trigger Wire: N/A
Car Stereo Amplifier Location: N/A
Car Audio Front Speakers Size: 4′ x 6′
Car Audio Front Speakers Location: Dash
Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Tan
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Gray
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Light Green
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Dark Green
Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: 6′ x 9′
Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: Rear Deck
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Brown
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Dark Blue
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue

Below is the link to the service and repair manual. The schematic of the main bosrd is in the "B" appendix. Open the file, it is a pdf file and scroll down past the disassembly guide, When you get to the appendixes, it will be on B-1 and B-2, that will show the top and bottom of the board.

You will have to buy a USB connector cable and cut off one side. I hope you know how to solder. The USB cable is very cheap, and if you know how to solder well, your problem is solved.

RS-422 connection RJ12

What I was told through the mfg. was:
pins 1,8 =NC
pins 2,7= Chassis Ground
Pin 3= TX-
Pin 4= TX+
Pin 5= RX-
Pin 6= RX+

This would actually be a RJ45 (8pin) but uses the 6 pin cable and only 4 com wires.
Evidentally there is no standard for the pin usages for serial communications with RJ connectors. So this information might not be valid for other equipment.
