No this is not the answer. iI have two original Nokia batteries and it happens with both. If you can charge the battery outside the phone (I have a dock with spare battery charger) and you take out the sim and blow on it and make sure the contacts are clean, then replace with the externally charged battery this should clear it. However it will eventutually happen again and you'll have to repeat the process. Nokia will repair the phone for you if it's under 2 years old, but it's a stressful process! For a permanaent solution I would do a hard reset first as I'm sure that will be easier than returning it for repair as they will reset it anyway!

There may still be water in the phone. Take out the battery, put it in a ziplock bag of rice, and leave it over night. the rice should absorb all the water from the phone.

I think the solution for that is to Reset Factory Settings in the Settings menu. If it still doesn't work, bring it to a Nokia Service Center to diagnose and fix your phone.
Hope this helps! -jayps

Ifthe laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall. ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.

Phone is powering off during a call. This has happened before so I bought a new Nokia battery 7-21-09. Now it is acting up again. When I got a new battery it worked fine but it seems to only last 4 months!

Hopefully you are still under warranty........... You can call AT&T customer service and they will be able to tell you if it is. If not they will normally work with you on replacing the phone. You may be eligible for a partial upgrade or a full upgrade.

LG KF510 will not turn on

Take it to the repair shop. My son's KF510 did the same. I await the results of the autopsy!
It started to play up almost straight away when he bought it a month ago. Last night it failed to go past KF510 logo then goes to a low level purple screen. Removing the battery seemed to fix it prior but not now!

LG viewty ku990 - no battery life and phone gets really hot

Hi

I dont know if this will help you, but it helped me. I had the same problem, with phone not holding charge and getting really hot both during and after complete charge.
I needed my memorycard from my LG to my other phone, so I took it out, and off course the phone needed to be charged so I charged it, and... it did not get hot at all, and when it was finished, the charge lasted a day and a half!! Now the problem is I cant use the memorycard anymore in my Viewty :S Win/Loose situation i guess....

Model28112 series cordless phone multi phones 4 total

This does not sound good. If you have one working phone and you have swapped batteries around and still the same single phone works.... you know it's not the base unit, charger stands, power supplies or batteries. You have eliminated everything but the phone itself. Unfortunatley these low end cordless phones cannot be expected to last. 6 months is pretty bad but I'm not surprized. These sell for $30 each new and I bet a replacement battery is $20.
