Question about Heating & Cooling
2.5 hp Samsung split has died in my rental. I will replace it with probably a 2.5 Hp Teco. The Samsung had a 3 min delay built in that would not allow a clean switch from cool to heat. I believe that is an essential element in the design, Do all remote control splits have this feature?
I am concerned that improper use of the remote by switching from cold to heat will damage the unit.
All Split ac units have a safety system in them for a smooth switch over.
The delay time is different in all units especialy if they are "Inverters" or "soft start"
To be extra safe , just select prefered Temp and then Put it all on Auto.
Also some models have an anti tamper lock on the remote settings.
