Question about Televison & Video
If you are using an antenna to receive your digital channels, your tv might be set up for those but not your dvd recorder and player, according to what I am reading, the recorder has a built in pal/ntsc analog tuner, basically what this means is that you will need the use of the tv video and audio outs(rca jacks on the tv) and the a/v jacks on the rear of the recorder to do the viewing and recording. You will be limited to the channel you are viewing on the tv when trying the record function, If you are using a cable or satellite box, all you have to do is set the recorder's tuner to channel 3 or 4 to record the channel selected in the box, to do a recording you will need to have the box on the channel you want to record and again the recorder's tuner set for ch 3 or 4. If you have the dvd recorder connected before the cab/sat box, you might be able to record what ever analog channels they provide, but not the ones transmitted digitally.

Sounds like you may have to run the setup program and have your tv search for the digital channels. Especially if you are receiving signal from an antenna.
