Hi,

You have to check your laptop's power adapter is working or not, if is working then check your laptop's battery. First you remove it from laptop and reinstall in laptop, your problem should be resolved.

Ashly

Yep, pull the plug. Power Cord, remove the battery, then press the Power Button and hold it for 15 seconds.

Next time you boot up go into the Control Panel and check your Power Options. You can set it to never hibernate.

My laptop (Toshiba Satellite A100) won't power on. It generally has temperature issues, either overheating or not turning on due to excessively cold temperatures. However, this time the laptop has been in...

Okay, sorry to disappoint you, but you may have a faulty motherboard. You have a nVidia GeForce Go 7600 video card, which are prone to heat issues, resulting in failure. Dell and HP have been recalling laptops with the 7 and 8 series GPUs.

Call up Toshiba, and even if you are out of warrenty, tell them that the video card on your motherboard is bad. Educate yourself here before calling though:

Make sure they know that its a universal issue that they need to address themselves.

Dell Inspiron Laptops spontaneously shutdown often

sounds like the battery is going bad. how long do they run before they die?

I would recommend looking at the power conservation settings in the control panel and adjusting them to reduce power consumption. You should also lower the lighing level in the room so the stundents can reduce the brightness of the laptop screen...that is a huge power saver.

Computer dead

You need to let the system dry completely with no power or battery attached for a few days. If this doesn't work your laptop is pretty much gone from the water damage.
