The number is 75.

75 = (10*7) + 5

Let X = the 10's digit, then (12-X) = the one's digit.
Then 10X + (12 - X) = 10X + 5
Cancel both 10X on both sides.
12 - X = 5
12 - X + X - 5 = 5 + X - 5
7 = X = The 10's digit, therefore 12-X or 5 = the one's digit.
