Hi, Thanks for joining us.

To uninstall the camera software, go to Control panel > Add or Remove program(XP)/Programs and Features (Vista) > select the name from list.

To uninstall camera driver , go to Device Manager> Select Scanner & Imaging device or Camera (if there is in the list) > select the driver name > Right click and select Uninstall.

Further please let me know.

Good Luck

Blue screen error comes when driver is not r compatible with operating system or driver is corrupted so you need to uninstall cam driver and then reinstalling compatible driver.
Then it works again.
Also uninstall skype and recently installed driver and software from computer.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

  • You can uninstall camera driver from device manager and add remove program.
For that right click on my computer icon then click on property then hardware->device manager.
Then you can see all drivers list.
    Uninstall camera driver from there.
Then go to start menu ->control panel ->add remove program .
Then uninstall camera driver and software from there.
Then reinstall camera driver and software.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
    Thanks for using FixYa.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Asus x52s the screen is a gradient grey. Colour. Windows vista still loads as I can hear the logon tone. Would this be the graphic card? Thanks pauline

No, its a common issue in vista, it's the drivers, check to see if there are new ones, or you can also "roll back" the drivers if it did a update.

Canot get picture during video call.

I guess the obvious question here is do you actually have a webcam fitted? If we assume yes then does the camera actually work? Again assuming yes, and assuming we're talking about skype then go into tools>options>video settings. Your camera should be listed, if it is and you are just getting a blank screen, you could try installing a program like many cam http://download.manycam.com/
Now it gets a bit weired. Open the many cam program and go into sources and select your webcam and (hopefully) it should show it working. Assuming it is then re-open skype as before and select manycam as the camera and it should then work. I've had to do this work around on a few HP laptops where the built in cam wouldn't work on skype.

My built in camera will not work with skype. i tried to do a video call with a friend but the camera will not turn on when i pressed the video call button.

The only thing that I can think of is that you also have something else open that is using the camera. Does the camera show up in Photo Booth or ichat? Do you have ichat open at the same time as Skype. Make sure you close ichat, photobooth, and Skype (and anything else that uses a camera) and then re-open only Skype. If you have something else open that uses the camera when you open Skype, Skype will be unable to use the camera.

My camera just stopped working in skype...i have windows 7 ultimate

this may not be worth a try,
Skype has built-in camera diver that usually works with most webcams but when it does not work properly then a manufacturers webcam driver designed for your operating system can usually fix this. in which case if you install a webcam driver, then it will be best to open the camera software before you start your video calls with skype

Asus1000 webcam problem

Go here courtesy of ASUS:

http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/

Then choose Aspire One and then choose the model of your netbook, After you do that choose the webcam drivers and download the to the desktop.

After the download is done go ahead and run the install and that should reinstall the drivers for the webcam and skype should work with it.

Normal 0 See section B. Yahoo Messenger in the info below to setup the Audio & Video.
Also send this to your family and friends so they have their computer setup properly.
Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if Installed Properly will come up and show a video picture.
  4. Then, on the bottom of the page click on Save.
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and her to you.

  3. Just below that, go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.
  4. Then after completing the Audio Setup, go to down and click on Webcam it should BRODCSAST and you will see your picture.
  5. To Chat, click on MESSENGER and then
  6. After make necessary settings, click on APPLY, then OK.
  7. Then click on MESSENGER and go to my WEBCAM ready to use.
  1. Windows Live Messenger:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=d78f2ff1-79ea-4066-8ba0-ddbed94864fc&displaylang=en
  1. After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X.
  2. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”.
  3. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on “ “Action.”
  4. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting” and follow the instructions.
NOTE: Your audio and video should work. Enjoy.
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps. Bud
