Question about GE JEM31 Microwave Oven
My microwave oven, a GE "Spacemaker II" model GEM31F seems to have died, as nothing happens anymore when we press the Start button. The unit still conducts electricity, though, as the clock and interior light still function. The problem started right after my girlfriend left some nachos in about 20 minutes too long, causing them to scorch.
Where can I find instructions and/or diagrams showing how to open the GEM31F and check the fuse?
In all likelihood the mangnetron has failed, or perhaps even the Power Supply. or a fault that is shutting the system down for safety reasons You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man.
Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one.
