your scanner could be a 64 bit and your computer is only 32bit follow this to verify if your computer is a 32 bit or 64 bit system
1. click start menu
2. right-click MY COMPUTER
3. click PROPERTIES
4. from the properties window you will see if your computer is a 32-bit or 64 bit system
32 bit won't work on 64 bit system
Please go to the link below, choose your operating system, and you'll be directed to the download page for your software. Download it by saving it to your Desktop. Double-click on the saved file and your installation will proceed.

Click on above link select your os and download driver for it.
Then install.Then connect it to computer with usb cable.
Then open my computer then you can see scanner icon there open it and scan .
