Follow every step carefully!

First format an USB stick with FAT.

Download the latest BIOS, and put both FLASHIT.EXE and the BIOS file in the root directory of the stick. Rename the BIOS file to ZG5IA32.FD, that's important. Do not remove the USB stick.

Turn the AA1 off, make sure both battery and AC adapter are connected. Press Fn+Esc, keep it pressed and press the power button to turn the AA1 on. Release Fn+Esc after a few seconds, the power button will be blinking. Press the power button once. The AA1 will now initiate the BIOS flash, do not interrupt it under any circumstances. After a while the power button will stop blinking, and the AA1 will reboot shortly after. Wait patiently.

The BIOS has been flashed and all settings reset to default.

If for some reason you made a mistake during the procedure and it doesn't reboot by itself wait 5 minutes before turning it off, just to be safe that it isn't still flashing the BIOS.

I have an acer aspire one, purchase one month ago. All was well until last week. I can not connect using my T Mobile Dongle or Wireless Network. Both connections no longer work and have done until last week. I have checked the wireless switch. Tried the Wireless Network Wirard with no luck.????

My lock screen on galaxy 5 won't come on. It goes straight to home screen. Why is it doing that? It was fine 2 days ago. How can I get it back?

Three Reasons Why Screen Lock is Gone
1. Screen Lock has been deactivated (Instructions how to activate are at bottom.)
2. Android Screen Security File may have been deleted, and screen lock option is no longer on your devise.(A Factory Reset will restore original Android files)
3. Malfunction Somewhere in Samsung Phone. (A Factory Reset might work, but not guaranteed)
(How to Factory Reset phone at bottom.)

How to ativate Screen Lock and Security settings

1. Press the apps icon, it usually at the bottom of screen.
2. Find Settings and press that button to open settings menu.
4. Scroll down the menu to Lock Screen and Security, press that to open options menu.
5. The first option at top is Screen Lock Type.Press and Open.
6. You will have 3 lock types to choose from. Swipe Lock, Passcode Lock, Password Lock
(advise, do not forget password, only a hard phone reset, or an apk lockout file will get you back in)

If activating screen lock through settings did not work, or if option is not available, you can try to reset phone to the way it was when you bought it.

There is a couple things you should know.
1. contacts, photos, videos, downloaded apps, games, and everything not on the phone when it was first bought, or when you first got the phone will be erased.
2. You can back up contacts, photos, videos, in settings menu, scroll down to Backup and Reset. Or save to an sd card, and remove sd card before applying reset option
3. If you have an account (google or android email) associated with your phone, you will need email address, (example@any.com) and password to get back in phone after phone resets and turns on.) Dont remember password, Please create a new password now before continuing to reset to manufacture settings.

Reset Phone to Manufacture Settings
1. Remove SD Card, or its saved files will be erased.
2. Open apps, Open Settings Menu, Scroll Down to Backup and Reset.
3. Scroll down to bottom of page to Factory Data Reset.
4. Follow instructions to reset phone.

When your phone comes back on, Swipe Screen Unlock should be active at phone turn on, if screen lock is not showing try again to turn on in security settings.
If still does not work,
I am sorry, Your phone has permanantly malfunctioned. You can try your phone store, or a phone repair shop.

Key clicks is ON , but NO sound

Is it possible that you also changed the function of the lock switch?

Try going into settings and change the settings of the lock switch to mute/unmute then place the switch itself into the unmute position.

If that brings back the sound of the keys, then it's safe to change the lock settings back to lock rotation.

If that doesn't solve the issue then I would recommend you do a backup and then restore to factory settings using your computer and iTunes.

Hope that helps!

My Dell Inspiron 5315 won't let me restore it to Factory Settings I'm not sure if there's a trick to it or if it is possible for a virus to stop me from doing it? I do all the steps and then my computer...

Hello trivium_adan, It sounds like everything you've done is correct!

Try these instructions to restore your computer back to the Factory Settings.

  • Once the Computer "Bootup;" quickly press, tap the[DEL] key, located at the top [Right] next to the Scroll Lock, and END keys"
  • The next window will be the "Recovery Environment."

Note: The wording may differ depending on the type & model computer.

  • "Options:" Select the option, "Repair your Computer."
  • In the next [Systems Recovery] windows, you will have to "Enter" (Location, Password...)
  • Next, choose the box that best describes, the Recovery Wizard:
  • This will have a notice! Restores System back to Factory Settings, or Out of Box!

Note: There will be all types of "Warnings!" Read carefully, before continuing.

Attention: "Once the Recovery begins, Do Not Touch the computer, for any reason at all!"

  • The whole recovery can take up to (4 Hours), the computer will "SHUTDOWN & RESTART several times, several!
  • So until you see the LOGIN" screen, Do Not Touch the computer.

If this information helped? Return and give a "Helpful Rating," please!
Thanks, paul7of9

Windows xp won't boot up and i end up getting this blue screen with the a stop error on it...

Sometimes BSOD are caused either by Software or Hardware problems, you can start running the diagnostic test first on the computer to check for hardware problems.

Try removing any external devices first (Ex. USB devices) then run some diagnostic test:

1. Turn on computer
2. Tap F12 continuously on the Dell logo screen
3. Select Diagnostics
4. Follow on screen instructions
4. Wait for the test results (approximately 10-15min.)

If all test passed no problems have been found, it means there is no problem with hardware/computer. The problem is now pointing out to be software problem. Solution will be restoring it back to factory settings.

1. Turn on computer
2. Tap F8 continuously on the Dell logo screen
3. Select Repair computer
4. Follow instructions... then select "Dell Factory Image Restore " on the recovery options
5. Follow instructions
6. Wait for 20-25min. and computer now is back to factory settings

Hope this helps
