-   every time I reboot my pc I get the checksum error, all my defaults are loaded and when I reset them in the bios and reboot the machine it loses them again I have changed the battery approx 4 times now from two different vendors ( just in-case I faulty batch but this has not solved my problem, I was wondering if I need to flash my bios. Saying that my pc doesn't have a 3.5 floppy disc drive and I'm unsure how to create a clean boot disk with the bios upgrade on it ( if it's the case of my needing to flash the bios)

Its just a wrong calculation of your BIOS, try to go to your BIOS and then "load default settings" to remove these BIOS CHECKSUM ERROR then save it and exit BIOS. THATS IT!
