My Miele oven has a constant alarm going off every time I try to turn it on, it won't let me set the temperature

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

Gas range wont turn on following small grease fire inside oven. Control panel now flashing F10 and control panel is locked

You have a runaway, or too hot, of a temp - Check RTD sensor probe and replace if necessary. If oven is overheating, disconnect power. If oven continues to overheat when the power is reapplied, replace EOC. Severe overheating may require the entire oven to be replaced should damage be extensive

Code FO

An F0 fault code can indicate 3 different things; a defective electronic control, a 'stuck' button in the control's keypad or a relay of the control "turned on" (which would usually cause an overheating condition).

If the range is not overheating when the error occurs, that should leave just the electronic control and the keypad (which is part of the control panel) as the most likely possibilities.

A test that can sometimes be used to isolate whether the keypad or control is responsible is to disconnect one from the other to see if the error returned. If the error returned even while the keypad was disconnected, it would point to a problem with the control being the most likely. If not, the control keypad would be suspect (but not absolutely guaranteed to be the cause).

F24 shows on readout and oven shuts off

The F24 fault code is caused by a closed/stuck/shorted contact on the control panel for more than 60 seconds, such has someone leaning against the controls or objects hanging in front of the controls.

Solution: Touch OVEN OFF, or turn power OFF at the circuit breakers, wait 3 minutes and then turn it back on. If the condition persists the touchpad/control panel will likely need to be replaced. Turn the power off in order to stop the beeping.

Being as you say it only occurs while heating, that test may not be able to be performed since you would not be able to operate the oven with the keypad disconnected. rolleyes.gif It might however be able to be disconnectedwhile the error was present to see if the display changed in the process.

icon4.gif Working on a 'live' appliance can be dangerous. It is not advised that persons unfamiliar with standard safety procedures attempt it.

Thermador SC302 double oven the top oven is not getting hot

We've had the same problem. I contacted a local sales room and they contacted their rep who promptly mailed the replacement parts I requested (I'd looked up the part numbers already). Now I'm waiting to find someone who will reasonably do the work.
