Question about Ovens

1 Answer

I have a Jenn Air gas oven with an electric key pad that controls the oven. I'm not sure what year or model it is because I am renting the house and it was left here by the previous tenants. The last couple of days it had been turning on by itself to broil and will just remain on until someome turns it off. Now when I plugged it back in, because we unplugged it so it wouldn't turn on while we were gone. It automatically turns onto broil whenever I hit anything and won't do anything else.

You need a new keypad. Some of these are hard to get due to being a factory order or on backorder. Can be costly also. Last one I had to do was approx. 324.00. Hope this helps.

F7 code flashes on jenn aire 27 inch wall oven

The F7 code indicates that the touch pad either has a "stuck" or shorted key. Depending on the oven model, you either need to replace the touch pad or the controller (clock) and the touch pad. (Some Jenn Air appliances sell the two as one unit.)

Please add a comment with your model number to get additional information on the availability and price for the parts. (Parts may be available from a number of suppliers, including jenn-air.partselect.com.)

I hope this helps.

The Jenn-Air Gas Range Electronic touch control 800. The key pad does not work. You can not set the clock or work the oven. Help.

My Jenn Air has the same problem with the computer touchpad. The only temperature I can get to work is from the left hand column, 411 degrees. I don't want to waste another dime on this oven. I've read so many complaints from other owners. No more Jenn Air products for me.

My oven was beeping with a code of FO. Do you know what that means? It's a jenn air oven.

HI. This code will appear when one, or more of the function keys on your unit has failed. If your control board has the key pad integrated into the main board(combination design), simply replace the entire control board. If the unit has a separate control board, that is not combined with the key pad, simply replace the key pad.

Jenn air oven

More then likely your electronic clock control board is going bad. After turning the power off, you can also try cleaning the connectors on the clock board and make sure the connectors are tight.

Beeping and F7 when cleaning

F7 stuck keypad
Stuck keypad may mean relay is turned on.
Determine if problem is with the Key Panel or Control by:
1. Pushing CLEAR/OFF pad.
2. Disconnecting Ribbon Cable from control and waiting at least 32 seconds to see if Code recurs

If code recurs, problem is in the control. Replace control.

If code does not recur, problem is with the Key Panel.

Jenn-Air Gas Range SEG196 NO CLOCK/DISPLAY

THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR THE BAD DISPLAY IS TO REPLACE THE CLOCK. I HAVE A JENN AIR OVEN TODAY AS A WORK ORDER TO REPLACE THE CLOCK FOR A FAILED DISPLAY.

FOR THE JGW8130DDB WITH NO POWER ANYWHERE, IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A SUPPLY PROBLEM. MAKE SURE THE WIRING IS HOOKED UP WITH THE RED AND WHITE WIRES RECEIVING 240 VOLTS AND THE WHITE WIRE ATTACHED TO NEUTRAL / GROUND.IF THE OVEN HAS A BARE COPPER WIRE AND THE HOUSEHOLD WIRING ONLY HAS THREE WIRES, COMBINE THE WHITE WIRE AND THE COPPER WIRE TOGETHER AND ATTACH TO THE HOUSEHOLD NEUTRAL / GROUND .
UNLESS YOU ARE SURE ABOUT THE HOOKUP IN THE BREAKER/FUSE BOX, DO NOT GO SIMPLY BY THE COLOR OF THE WIRES.
