Question about HP LaserJet 1020 Printer
The printer may not have it on the panel board but you can try the bellow , although this step may be driver related :
If you are using windows XP
> Go to Start , then Printers and Faxes
> Right-click on the HP LaserJet 1020 and Select Properties
> On the General tab, under Printing Preferences
> Click the Basics tab, and select the About button
> It should give you a Page Count in the bottom of that window
Remeber to rate it if it works for you.

Testimonial: "Several others sent me emails saying that there was no way to get a copy count from this model printer. However, you had the answer to this problem. "
This unit was no self configuration to know the page count is not like other unit with panel board
