There's a problem with your window variables, for example, Xmax <= Xmin. Press the WINDOW key and check your variables.

Everytime i try to graph something it comes up with err: archived. how do i fix this?

Something referenced by the function you're trying to graph is archived.

Archived variables are displayed in the memory manual with an asterisk to the left of the variable name. Press 2nd [MEM] 2 1 to see the variables in memory. Use up/down-arrow to move to the archived variable and press ENTER to unarchive it. Repeat as often as necessary.

If this doesn't do it, could you reply to this post and give the function you're trying to graph?

I am trying to enter a slope formula in the "y=" window, my lists are all cleared but everytime it goes to the graph it tells me "err invalid dim"

I d not understand what you mean by enter a slope formula, but I am going to assume you want to draw the graph of a function y= f(x) and you are having a problem.
  1. Press the STAT button and
  2. Select 4:PlotsOff
  3. Press ENTER
  4. Calculator displays DONE
  5. Now you can do your graphs.

I need help with graphing everytime i try to draw a graph it comes up with this ERR:INVALID DIM what does that mean

It means that your Xmin or Xmax is messed up. it often shows up when you are plotting somethings (histogram for exanple) and you don't have enough X or Y range to fit all the points in it. it also happens when you are multiplying matricies without using the right dimensions. ERR:INVALID DIM just means your dimension is invalid.
