The control is probably just dirty after all those years, try some switch cleaner-don't use WD40-preferably switch cleaner with added lubricant, sprayed in and work the control back and forth. Good luck.

Powers off immediately after starting

My immediate reaction would be to cut your losses and buy a new unit as sooner or later you will run into a part that is no longer available.

My Kenmore Oasis HE is about 4-5 years old. Withing the last 6 months or so, it has started faulting to UL(uneven load) in the final spin cycle every load. It doesn't matter if I am only washing 1...

Sears has a recall for the Kenmore Oasis washer. I have the exact same problem. Call Recall Line @ 1-800-659-7026 with Model number and serial number. The part is a control board that works with the spin cycle.

My remote to my DVR/VCR combo no longer works how do I get a replacement?

You can typically get a universal remote control to work with these units at any electronics department or big name electronics store. I got mine at the electronics department at the big store (W-mart) for example. If you want a Sansui remote, you can google the model number and find about a dozen or more companies that sell replacement remotes and also on Ebay. Personally, I'd buy the $20 universal model at the electronics store! Good luck!

A good tech could probably fix that, did it burn a hole or otherwise carbonize the phenolic PC board material? If so replace the board.

You can only get that board directly from Sansui or one of their distributors. If your set is out of production (more than a couple of years old) there is a good chance that the board is no longer available likely get that board from Sansui, there will be no generic replacement for that. There is a safety factor involved here.

If you can get the board then replace it and see what happens. Hopefully it will happily give your more years of service.

Is there a balance control on this radio or is that fixed???

Hello kayriecken,

You did not specify whether you have the old classic Becker or the new retro. I'm pretty sure that the knobs were "spring loaded" on my old '60's Becker (actually in a 1971 Mercedes 280S - later replaced with a Blaupunkt). On mine, you just pulled out lightly on the knob and it switched function to balance. One side, the volume controlled left to right balance, and the other side, tuning, controlled front to rear balance (fader). Try it and see if it works.

Hope this helps.

Wii balance board wont work

With all due respect, I am sorry to say that you should only clean what is visible. If it no longer functions, then start looking for the obvious screws to undo. Regrettably, it appears that you may have to replace your unit. You may wish to consider purchasing a silicone cover on this unit (if you get it fixed) or on your new unit.

Good luck, and I'm sorry. I have a three year old, too. I really do understand!

Balance switch for sansui au-g30x integrated amplifier

Finding a replacement control will probably be expensive (over $20 including shipping) so here's a cheap + dirty fix. Most people never use the balance control so losing it won't usually matter.

The control is probably labeled something like 10kohms. Take a digital multimeter and measure the value from each of the outside terminals to the center one then replace the control with two resistors with the values you just measured.

If you still want to replace it, ask over at and somebody should be able to suggest a parts source.

Need a volume and balance switch for a sansui G-8700DB receiver

If this is an older unit, Samsung is no longer supplying parts for older units. They were bought over and it is no longer the same company.

You will have to send the amplifier to a shop that can do custom work and retrofit a new set of pots to the amplifier. They will use industrial parts and modify them to mechanicaly fit.
