Question about Epson Stylus Photo R220 InkJet Printer
My printer stop working, the power light is off and the ink and paper lights are flashing and this the message that appears on the screen (Parts inside your printer are at the end of their service life. See your printer documentation.)
I have a R220 it says it needs a service can you help

I got my printer to work again and see the ink of which it wasnt before, what i done was uninstald all Epson programs by add & remove, then went to search (start bottem left, search) enterd look for all Epson files, then erased them, restarted pc, loaded Epson cd by custom install and just loaded the driver, after that my printer saw ink again and worked fine.

The erroris an ink overflow protection error and is fairly easy to rectify. Youneed to clean the waste ink pads in the bottom of the printer and thenuse some software to reset the internal counter. You can download allthis stuff from the link below:
A waste ink tank, does not stop the ink counter incrementing each timeink is used. All it will save you is the time taken to replacethe ink pads - which you can wash out and reuse anyway.

My printer suddenly decided tell me that parts inside your computer are at the end of thier service life see yr printer documentation. Up til this moment working perfectly. Using compatable ink cartridges, but have used them before with no problem. Pushing both flashing lights does nothing. Cartridges seem stuck far right? Wadda think?

This is typical error of epson printers after 2 or 3 years letter.
find out your nearets service center of epson & see your printer there
change your printer with new one.
