Unplug stove and remove screws holding element to oven cavity. Remove and take to nearest appliance shop and they will match up for you. Not an expensive repair. Hope this helps.

Whirlpool gold double oven model #gbd307pdb. upper oven lower heating element burned out. replace lower element. it does not get hot. upper element heats up. control board works. is this the thermos

You will have to see if there is power to the element. It is possible that the relay contacts burned when the element burned out. There is a fusable link but this would shut down both the top and bottom elements. If the relay is burned out the control board will need replacing or rebuilding.

Whirlpool built in electric oven bake (bottom)heating element does not heat up only tot heats when in bake mode

CHECK FOR CRACKS IN THE BAKE ELEMENT. IF THE UNIT IS NOT HEATING THE BOTTOM, BUT THE TOP IS STILL HEATING, YOU MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE TO REPLACE THE ELEMENT. THIS IS A 220 VOLT OVEN WITH 110 VOLTS ALWAYS GOING TO THIS ELEMENT, SO TURNING OF THE BREAKER IS VITAL FOR SAFETY PURPOSES. WITH AN OHM METER, UNINSTALL THE ELEMENT AND CHECK BOTH WIRE CONNECTIONS FOR OHMS. YOU SHOULD GET SOME KIND OF READING BETWEEN 10 OHMS AND 500 OHMS. IF YOU'RE NOT AT LEAST GETTING A SOLID READING, REPLACE THIS ELEMENT.

Whirlpool Gold Electric convection oven does not heat up.

Check for a broken wire or even broken element on top and bottom of unit. To do this, the unit must be unplugged or otherwise removed from power completely, then remove the screws that hold each heating element in place and gently pull out and inspect the wire connections. You should have just enough slack to check them. There should also be just enough slack to strip the wire clean to make the new connection to the heating element.

If the repair has been done before, you may need to fish a new lingth of high temp wire into the location.

My oven takes too long to heat up. I think the bottom element is not working properly. Is there some way I can test it?

If the bottom element is accesable take a piece of thermal printing paper and lay it on the element, then switch on. If the element is working the paper will turn black where it is in contact with the element, if you are daring, test it as you would your cloths iron, with a wetted finger, if it sizzles, the element is hot. You are not touching the electrical wiring, only the cover, but be fast with the touch test, you do not want to burn yourself. If the element is not directly accesable, try the thhermal paper test over the cover of the element, leaving the door open, it should turn black where the slots are in the cover, and then blacken all over. (Check to see if the oven switch does not have a position where the bottom element is isolated).
