Question about Compaq FS7600 17" Flat Glass Monitor
Monitor will click off and on. I can wiggle the power cord and it finally comes on. I've tried changing the power cord and the same thing happens. Any ideas?
Sounds like a bad connection on the inside of the power cord socket on the back of the monitor. If you feel confident enough to take the back off just remove the power cord, remove the back and then wiggle the pins inside the socket 1 at a time and look in the back of the socket at the same time to see if the wires are loose on the pins, or if the wires from the pins are loose on the circuit board. May just need resoldering. If you can find out what it is it could save you money getting it repaired, unless you can do it yourself.
