Question about Bosch WFK 2401

1 Answer

BOSCH WFK 2401 washer. It's been unused for 2 yrs. How much is a new motor and how do I remove the black plastic drainage panel (bottom/front) to reach the hoses behind which need cleaning. I've cleaned the exit hose and a complicated plastic part (inside/top/left). Odd set up for the power supply - the washer plugs into a box on the back of the dryer. Is this a voltage issue for these earlier models?

leaks could be from anywhere. remove the top and back cover, put on a cycle and try to trace where leak is. sorry if this is not very helpful. water in filter should not smell. this may be due to using liquid detergent which causes a smell like drains if used over a period. put on a boil wash and revert to using powder

The pump uses an impeller to move the water into the drain pipe. Take the lower front off and you will see the impeller cover, behind the filter.

Can I stack my bosch wfk 2401 on top of my bosch wtl 5400

I wouldn't. Not without a proper shelf for the washer.

Washing machines are heavy because there's a huge lump of concrete placed over the drum to dampen down any vibrations. A tumble dryer is hollow, has little structural strength.

Put the machine on top of the dryer, you're going to get a crushed dryer if not a crushed foot, leg or child. Please be very careful.

Washing machine

There are 2 ways: 1. Tip machine on its back and remove the sump hose from the bottom of the tub, and root around inside. This option doesn't give you much play. 2. Remove the from of the machine and the heater element. 1. remove soap drawer and undo resessed screw 2. remove kick strip and remove screws behind it 3. remove door seal band and front of door seal 4. slide front panel down and towards you to remove. 5. remove heater element to gain access to inner drum. With the sump hose also off you should be able to remove the foreign object. http://www.ransomspares.co.uk/bosch-washing-machine-spares.html
