Question about Televison & Video
Roofers took down our Dish today. We have a pre-HD Sharp t.v. we're trying to "Un-Dish" to watch on antenna. Not having any luck. What have we missed?
In the USA broadcasts are not analog any longer they are digital. So if you have an antenna hooked up to your TV you will need a digital converter hooked up to your input wire (from antenna) and then an output from the converter to the TV. Most satellite and cable companies use RG56 cable which will work fine with an antenna set up as well, so cabling should not be a problem.
Make sure you set your TV mode (input or source) to the proper input where you have hooked up the cable to the TV as well. It is unimportant which input you use, but the TV has to have it set to the same one.
If you are outside of the USA, the above should be the same because broadcast over the air and antennas set ups are universally the same in nature and design. I hope this helps and good luck!
