i am trying to communicate via IM video with my friend. my video works. his doesn't. we can hear each other but again, no video on his end. he initially tried to install with skype. any ideas on troubleshooting?
he has a dell latitude running xp and quickcam for notebook deluxe
I know this may seem like a stupid solution, but have you had him/her check the video input connection to the PC? What are you two running to stream online? AIM, MSN, Yahoo!, etc.? He may just need to configure his camera with the messanger. Otherwise, re-installation will be necessary.

try restarting your computer and copy it again. if that doesn't work, its probably the file type of the video, try converting it to another video type.
im no expert but it may be that the wires got cut that could happen if you dont take care of your mics its happened to me this is crazy but put the dodgy part on a angle and sellotape it if thats does not work buy the ones you gey with the xbox
It's either he doesn't have a working microphone in the webcam, or, if he does, he needs to select the input device in the audio settings of the communication program you are using.
The microphone you are using is only picking up sounds that are close to it. Try moving your speakers closer to the microphone. Also make sure that your speakers are facing towards the microphone.

Make sure that your Webcam on your computer/laptop is working and enabled (via hotkey?) by using the webcam software that normally comes with the camera: if it does not, re-install the Webcam driver (uninstall driver first from Devices Manager, if present, and then re-install is the best way). Skype only makes use of this webcam driver so it should also works again afterwards. Hope it helps.

Audio and Video portion has drop downs so you can select the proper audio
card and video camera installed in you computer.

The audio and camera should function now.

please follow the steps given below:
1. Click the Audio and Video Settings button directly
below the My Buddy or My Camera
window. If you are currently participating in an AOL Live Video IM session, a
message will display: You must disconnect the current AOL Live
Video IM conversation before running setup. Would you like to disconnect now?
Click the Yes button.
2. The Audio and Video Tuning Wizard will appear to help
you verify that your camera, speakers and microphone are working properly.
Follow the on-screen prompts. Notes:
The first time you use AOL Live Video IM, a
message will display: Would you like to first check your
audio and video settings? Click the Yes

Hai, i too had this same problem friend.. I tried many ways and nothing worked.. Finally i got my mobile re-installed through a service center which made my bluetooth work again.. You also try the same .. Hope this solution would be help full.
