My camera suddenly went dead. bought a new battery, still dead. Is this type of problem generally worth fixing?

My camera FX8 suddenly went off while transferring Photos in PC..later no power..even i changed the battery then also it went dead...i dont know the reason.can anyone suggest me..and mail me.
