Routers do not need drivers. They work by themselves. The computer does not control them.
If you have the router plugged in and all its lights are on then it is working. All you have to do is to get the computer to talk to it - and that doesn't require any CDs at all.

Hello there.

I suggest you to download software called Driver Robot (freeware)
http://www.fileserve.com/file/X8pSHAP/ParadiseW.net_Driver_Robo_2.5_Build_3.0.rar

When you install it, open and click scan. When it finished click report to a file, save that file and open it. Click get drivers, find drivers you need, download and install it. Restart your computer.
Otherwise, put your dell resource cd in pc, go to device manager, right click on the yellow driver and choose update driver. Choose browse my computer, and then in the field include in in search, find cd, and click next and it will find it and install for you.

I hope I was helpfull.

Sincerely,

Steve TM

I need drivers for a memorex internal dvd rom 16x Model MRX-210L-v1HM61 I think the part number is 32023254

If you have your Resource CD, you should install it and run the drivers tab.
If you do not have the resource CD, go to Dell's support site for this GX270. You can download the drivers there. You will be looking for the chipset driver and the IDE controller drivers. The CD drivers are firmware.

After installing a modem driver in my Dell Optiplex360 XP, it detect the modem and when i try to access the modem through device manager or uninstall from control panel the system hault. and a message like...

Did you download the driver from the DELL site?
If you use your resource CD, it will detect the hardware in your system correctly.

Start the system in safe mode (F8 at startup
Go to Device Manager (Control panel, device manager)
Remove the modem from the list
Now insert the resource CD and after it loads, it will pout check marks next to each item that is found in your system
Select the modem and install the driver.

If you do not have the resource cd
Boot to safe mode
Start the device manager
Remove the modem
Install the driver from the dell website
Reboot

If these do not work, the modem may be at fault.
If it is the modem that came with the machine, it could be going bad.
If it is new or different modem, it probably is incompatible with your system.

Tried to download os CD. Downloads it and then

It depends a lot on what resource cd you get. Some do come complete. But the best way to handle this is to call manufacturer and order restore disks. That will normally get the os and drivers.

If you find this helpful please rate this.

Thanks

What type of Dell notebook is it?

You may need to uninstall the driver and get the updated one from dell.com website. Install the updated driver and then reboot. Please rate me.

Can't connect to internet through wireless

Go to a working computer (beg borrow or steal) and download the drivers for your model laptop from the DELL WEB site (suggest you insert your Service Tag to get the correct drivers for your model laptop), copy it to a CD or USB memory stick and then install them on your computer.
Don't forget to activate your XP license and also install SP3 (Service Pack 3 it's approx. 350Mb in size).

Resource CD and D drive

Try the Resource CD in another computer to see if the CD is bad or your CD drive. Also check to see if the Resource disk is in CD or DVD format. If you need software drivers for your computer, you can also go to Dell’s website and download them. Go to www.support.dell.com and select "I'm looking for drivers and downloads". If you don't have the proper version of Adobe you will be prompted to install it. Once installed return to "drivers and downloads" and enter the "service tag", (serial number) of the computer. Dell keeps a listing of drivers for every customer's computer they sell.

Thank You.

Error 0146

If I remember correctly, this is a fault for your hard drive and it either has or is about to die. If you are under warranty, I would suggest calling Dell to correct the issue (they may be able to send you a new drive).

If not, you may be able to salvage your data with a 2.5" drive adapter (either IDE or USB) and another system. If you are out of warranty, you will need to purchase a new laptop hard drive , swap it out with the old one and reinstall your system, applications, etc. For this, you will need the system restore CD and resource CD. If you don't have the resource CD with the drivers for your system, you can download them strait from Dell but you will need a separate disks to install your operating system (windows I'm guessing) applications, etc.

If you were able to salvage your data, you can copy your data back to the system.
