I mistakenly plugged in 9V power to my D-Link DIR615 router?

Most likely you have damaged the D-Link router.
Connect a correct power adapter to the D-Link to see if it works properly, if it doesn't work then you need to purchasr a new wireless router.

If you aren't seeing any lights on the router, it's probably just not getting power. Make sure you moved the router's AC adapter (it may have been forgotten in moving everything else), and that it's plugged in to a working outlet and the router. If you don't have an outlet strip where all the computer pieces are plugged in and the router adapter is plugged into a wall outlet, see if it's controlled by a switch. (If the room doesn't have a ceiling light, at least one outlet will have a switch controlling it so you can turn on a lamp. Otherwise you'd have to stumble around in the dark.)

If the adapter is plugged in to a known working outlet, then the router or adapter has chosen this moment to go bad. It's unlikely, but possible.

If you plug the AC adapter into a live AC outlet and the correct port on the router the power light should come on. If it does not either your AC adapter has failed or the router itself. You do not need to connect anything else for it to power on.

If AC power checks out then you need the replace the AC adapter or router.

Router is not working

What does this line mean? "It's reading all the other computers but isn't working."

Do you mean that the other computers are hard-wired to ports 1, 2, 3 & four on the back of the router? Or are you going totally wireless? Is your cable, or satellite modem plugged into the port labeled WAN?

1. Place the router in an open and central location. Do not plug the power adapter into the router.

2. Turn the power off on your modem. If there is no on/off switch, then unplug the modem’s power adapter. Shut down your computer.

3. Unplug the Ethernet cable from your modem and plug it into the WAN port on the router.

4. Plug an Ethernet cable into one of the four LAN ports on the router. Plug the other end into the Ethernet port on your computer.

5. Turn on or plug in your modem and wait for it to go through its boot cycle. It takes about 30 seconds. Watch the lights on the modem to tell when it has finished booting.

6. Plug the power adapter into your router. Again, wait about 30 seconds for the router to boot.

7. Turn on your computer.

8. Verify the link lights on the router. The power light, WAN light, and the LAN light for the port you plugged your computer into.

Now, open Internet Explorer (web browser) and in the Address line, type 192.168.0.1 and hit enter. You should see a login screen. Enter a user ID of admin and leave the password blank.

This should log you into the configuration utility for your router. You should see a Setup Wizard button that will walk you through setting up your router.

My D-Link DI-514 wireless router doesn't light up

Sounds like you have a bad power supply. In my personal experiences with bad routers they either don't light up at all or all the lights blink. It doesn't take much to send one to the router graveyard. Power surges and lightning strikes are the most common culprits. Hope this helps

Cannot configure D-Link DIR 625 wireless router

Hey Raj - Unplug your modem and router. After 60 seconds plug your modem back in. When the lights return to normal (except the activity light) , plug your router back in. Give it 10 seconds and try it. If this solves your problem PLEASE rate this as fixed. If not, DO NOT RATE YET. Just add a comment letting me know what happened and I'll be happy to assist you further. Thanks.

try a power cycle. unplug the power from the back of your modem. unplug the power from your router. shut down the computer. Plug the modem in frist wait until lights are normal. Check your cables make sure the modem is plugged into the wan port. then power on your router. wait until lights are normal plug in your laptop with a cat5 cable. start up the laptop see if your able to access the internet with the cable plugged in.

If so great your on line. open ie and goto your router ip address which i think is 192.168.0.1. its in your manual anyway. goto the wireless tab and make sure your wireless is enabled in the dlink router.

If your internet is not working then you need to setup your pppoe connection if your on dsl. and then do the wireless set up. default is usualy the ssid. [
