Hi, sometimes what happens is that there could be objects blocking the path of the paper on one side. Maybe a paper clip or a pen, I have seen this many many times. Just turn off the printer and remove the paper from the feeder. Unplug the printer from the power cord. Then flip the printer upside down and shake it a little most of the times you will find something stuck in there and it will fell down. If you do not find anything maybe then there is something wrong with the feeder roller. Also try the following link http://bit.ly/9nrlMW

This worked for me today, and it has also worked for me in the past. I think that unplugging the power cord is an important step. Shake it a couple of times, gently. Someone at Lexmark just told me our printer needed to be replaced!!! : ) One thing I DO NOT LIKE about this printer is that it doesn't take refillable ink cartridges. The ink is expensive. If anyone knows of a good printer that takes refillable cartridges, please e mail me at [email protected]. Then when I do have to replace this one, I'll have an idea what to buy.

3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.

You may not have a paper jam, but you can have a roller sticking. Open up the side doors and turn the paper rollers by hand that you can.

What is your make and model? Send the model data you see from the data plate on the back.

Paper feed

Your printer is politely asking you to please get a torch, and open the lid of unit and thoroughly check inside all over for a tiny jam of paper or something else. I am willing to bet you will find some jam. I would also switch it off, and wait a while before turning on and printing again. Good luck
