I gather when you meen rebooted its into windows xp? or while its booting. if its the first one, windows only recognises up to 3 gig of mem, if it is when you are post booting, how much shared mem has your graphics card got? it might seem that you only have 3 gig on start up, but you have to allow for the memory use from the graphics card, hope this throws some light onto your problem

Altec lansing connect

IM600 Compatibility: iPod mini; iPod classic 3G, 4G, 5G, 5.5G, 6G; iPod nano 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G; iPod touch 1G, 2G; auxiliary input connects to any CD, DVD, or MP3 player using a stereo mini-plug. If you have a mini-plug port on the IPhone which I believe you have; then attach a male to male plug in between the two devices. Take to Radio Shack for correct line plug.

My hp pavilion a1140n has 4G RAM installed but only shows 3.11G my copmuter, properties. I've tried different orders of installation/configuration of cards and I get 2G, 3G, 3.11G. Anyone know why?

The system probably uses some of the ram for the onboard video/on board sound...also known as shared memory. If you go to the BIOS setup..you should be able to see what the total memory is and what shares this memory

How to make a video call with E71 nokia indicating video call not supported by network

Hi dude,if you are using 2G network you cannot make a video call.Because video calling is not supported by 2G network. To make a video call your network must be 3G.Video calling is only suported by 3G and 4G like networks. So if you want to video call someone use a 3G network and try again.Hope this will help you.Thanks.

Ram Installation more than 3G ex: (4G or 5G) will read 3.25 G How? i am using 2 units of KVR800D2N6/2G pulse 1G original>

Probably your Operating System is a 32bit. 32bit OS can only read up to 3GB of RAM regardless of the capacity of RAM you install. For example you installed 2pcs of 2GB RAM, that makes it 4GB in total, 32bit OS will only recognize 3GB. upgrade your OS to a 64bit OS and you can upgrade your RAM up to 8GB depending on how much your motherboard can handle.

Can i place a 4g and 2g stick in my macbook pro

Hello! The MacBook Pro you have mentioned can only support 4GB's total. 2GB's in the first slot, and 2GB's on the second slot.

What you may have seen by accident was that you can purchase either a 4GB kit, or a 2GB kit. Meaning a 4GB kit with 2 2GB sticks, or a 2GB kit with 2 1GB sticks.

Your best bet is to go with a 2GB stick in each slot to max out your MacBook Pro. 2GB's is the largest each slot can read.

For more information, check out the website below which has very detailed information on memory for various systems.
