Had panasonic 42" plasma hd tv about one month when we had short power outage. when tv was turned back on starz (channel 97-1) would no longer display. brighthouse cable provider said it must be quirk in tv because we shouldnt be able to get starz, however we could. when i rerun set for channels it wont pickup 97-1 as available channel. i noticed however that the set for initial set is different then setup displayed now. how can i reset to first time setup and hopefully pick up starz again.

In order to get any of the Freesat channels, you need to connect a Satellite dish to your TV. If you have a Sky dish, you simply need to run an extra Cable from the LNB from the dish and connect to your socket on the back of your TV.
In order to get Freeview channels and Analogue channels, you need to connect a aerial to the back of the TV.
There is a menu option for the TV to start straight to the AV input (your Sky HD box). It is Menu > Setup > Other Settings > Power on Preference. Select 'AV' for your TV to start on Sky HD.
Also even if you have your TV to start on TV, when you turn on your Sky HD box, it should automatically switch to the Sky box.
1. Connect PS3 to your TV
2. Select the Correct HDMI input on your TV
3. Press and hold the [power] button on the PS3
4. perform setup.
These are the steps to setup the video output for the PS3, It is possible that it is set to a resolution that your TV does not support.
If this doesn't work, you may want to contact Sanyo to ask if they have some protection circuit for the HDMI input. Some manufactures TV's will deactivate(turn OFF) the HDMI input under certain conditions. Unplugging the TV or some other procedure usually turns it back ON.
on the front of the satellite box, does it have a door that you can open, if so, after opening the door on the inside does it have a red reset button. press the red reset. if no reset unplug for 15 seconds and plug back in. also if its on all channels, and resetting it doesnt work may need to reprogram the satellite. if resetting doesnt work contact satellite provider to reprogram.
there are 2 coaxial inputs on the back of your tv. plug the antenna into the digital coax. with your remote, do a fac reset: menu, setup, fac reset, all settings, passcode 3355. after the reset, hit input, select digital tv. perfprm a chan scan: menu, setup, channel scan, antenna. this should solve the problem.
sanyo recommends using the reset button with cable box on, vcr off and press the reset button 2x, then try pressing channel up button if no message appears on the screen. i have not trid it yet... but good luck
The best way is to contact your service provider and ask them to trouble shoot guide you, there should be a way to reset or diagnose the receiver or if you prefer go back to the place you bought it and ask for a replacement, You should still have the manufacturer's warranty, check that as well.
