How and where can I find out how to download songs to my music player?

  • Anonymous Jun 24, 2008

To load music into the i880's MP3 player, you must use a PC-based card
reader, as the phone doesn't come with a data cable, and files
transferred over Bluetooth, for some reason, end up in a folder the
music player can't access. The player can handle MP3 and iTunes M4A
files of any bit rate up to 320 Kbps and neatly arranges them by song
title, artist, and album on the phone. One neat touch: Drop podcasts
into a "Podcast" folder and they appear in their own menu on the phone.
Unfortunately, you can't create playlists on your PC and have them show
up on the handset; you have to do that on the phone itself. Music
volume is really loud over the built-in speakers or a wired headset.
But the phone doesn't support stereo Bluetooth or play protected music,
and you can't use your own MP3 files as ringtones.

The i880 does support Bluetooth file transfer and modem use, though as
with all Nextel phones, you'd have to be pretty desperate to use it as
    a modem.

I have the same problem so I called nextelcare and they told me to take the phone to a nextel service center to have it replaced at no charge.

Put music on card mp3 player i880 phone

You can use Windows Media Player's "Sync" function to transfer music from your music library to your phone, but you need a data cable to connect the phone to your computer, or you can use a USB memory card reader that allows the computer to see the memory card as if it were another drive. NOTE: The i880 can ONLY play music files in an .mp3 format; if they are in ANY other format, they will not even show up on the song list on the phone.

Mortorola i880

The Motorola i880 is unable to use this program. Try upgrading to a CDMA phone such as the ic902. The iDEN web services are too slow for google maps.

I have an i880 and i am trying to download music from my computer to my phone

You can only add music to the MicroSD card included with your phone. You will need to use the included MicroSD to SD adapter and an SD card reader. When plugged into the computer, the card will show up as a removable drive under "My Computer".
