Question about HP Pavilion tx1410us Tablet PC
No program can find the CD/DVD drive. Will not auto start any disc. System does not list the drive. Windows Media Player rip function states that ''a CD drive is needed in order to rip music...''
While it sounds like the drive is failed you can try this:
power down system
eject the physical drive from the chassis (there should be a lock release on the back of laptop)
slide the drive back into the chassis
power on the laptop
After windows starts up - go to my computer and see if the drive is present.
Keep me posted - we can try something else a little more intense
