Hi, It sounds like there is an issue with the tri-port valve or associated switchover between heating and hot water. Had this myself some time ago. There should be a (normally silver) looking metal box with a lever that can be used to manually switch between the two. The valve is normally driven by a small step motor which sometimes goes. Try moving the lever manually and feel is there is any physical resistance. It may be that the stepper motor has had it's day, or that the valve is stuck. Hope this helps

03 Chrysler Voyager heat not warming up. Heater core good, new water pump, not leaking coolant, A/C works fine. Any suggestions?

Perhaps the thermostat is stuck open. That would cause the water to circulate constantly and not trapping it in the block long enough to heat up. While your vehicle is cold, remove the radiator cap. Have someone start the car. You should not see water circulation thru the radiator. That should only happen when the hot water in your block is exchanged with the cooler water in the radiator.

On a back boiler central heating system my hot water works fine but cant get my central heating working i have changed the pump there are no motorised valves on the system i have checked the the expansion...

Hi,
In most cases problems with the circulator pump boil down to two problems.
The most common is air in the lines causing an air lock.
The next problem is that the pump gets stuck and is not running even though itmay be hot and seem to be running. In this cause the pump can sometimes betaken apart, cleaned and it will work, but usually it needs to be replaced.

Here is a tip that I wrote that will explain circulator pump problems in moredetail.

This does not sound like a thermostat problem. I would be looking for a zone valve or circulator pump problem.

Parkray Cumbria efficiency problem

Some circulation pumps have a 3 phase mixing valve (cold, warm, hot) to regulate the water pressure in the building; no way to know unless you trace the plumbing. Basically, the hot water temperature could be lost because the circ-pump is cooling it with the cold water supplied to it. This is used to balance the pressure (aka Pressure Balancing Circ-Pump), so heater is really working overtime to heat the water. If the pump has two in and one out that's more than likely your problem; but you should consult a "old-school" plumber in your area.

the boiler should modulate to controll the radiator temperature but the central heating will go off whilst you are drawing hot water
